We need to increase turnover preferably double it within the next 5 years in order to compete with the bigger teams.

We need to win a trophy badly and then kick on from there.

Creatng 32million in turnover annually and 320 in a decade out of two aspects of the club not cultivated ever is a pretty good place to be starting from.

Given how he has blown close to 500m, I disagree.

There's two ways to do it
1) bring in a manager who can make good players world class, we don't have one of those
2) bring in world class players, this means beating the top teams to them
1. a..we have a world class manager.
20 trophies 3 of these being champions league.he eclipses herr klopp and a few others I'd wager my house that the fuhrer ends his career behind ancelotti's when it comes to silverware.
b.. making good players world class ill sit on the fence on this. but my 1st impressions are good he has improved a few players in our current squad notably dcl. herr klopp may improve players but I think it's in the short term capacity as the young players he improves he in turn runs them in to the ground and I think they will suffer later in their careers with injury or burnout.
2 bringing in world class players we will see but I honestly think Carlo is more than capable of bringing world class players to everton. where as klopp brings in good players improves them significantly with kloppozade to the detriment of the overall length of their career. see dortmund players who he managed,a lot fell the wayside after they played kick and rush non stop klopp football.

Ancelotti has always had great teams since I can remember, he is a good tactical manager
He isn't a manager like Ferguson/pep/klopp/mourinho (mk 1). Managers who make you feel you are better then you actually are

Can you not include serial loser Jurgen in that list please? Ancelotti, Ferguson, Guardiola and Mourinho are amongst the best managers of all time and you’ve effectively put in a bloke who belongs with Roberto Di Matteo in with them. Klopp has lost almost every big final he’s been in apart from against Spurs where even then he only got over the line thanks to a dodgy ref call. Even with his doping and match fixing he‘s still struggled to win multiple trophies consistently at any point in his career.

And the best bit? Not many outsiders have even noticed.
tbh, some of us on the inside haven't noticed much success yet either...unless you count a 4-0 thrashing, that could've been 8 as success.
But I'm sure its only a temporary set back though, IM(and U)WT.

Everything is in place for us but we cannot seem to make it happen can we, break the top 6, meanwhile Leicester keep doing it and it's frustrating. It all is going well behind the scenes, or it seems that way, we need it on the pitch now.

Keep doing it? After winning the league they finished below us for the next 3yrs.

Yes they’ve done very well this season and have a good team, but have been helped massively by no injuries and had some dubious decisions from Var In there favour.

I’m not 100% but may have had there worst run of form when vardy was out for a few games. Apparently the Right Back pereira? Is out for the season. And Maddison is out for a few weeks and the league has stopped.

They won it and now are 3rd when was the last time we were in the top 4 at this stage of the season, that's twice for them in a few years.

I know exactly what they’ve done. Amd winning the league was an incredible achievement.
I was replying to a poster who said they keep doing it, which isn’t quite true.

Only so many times we can fail though. We’ve gone from having poor managers, managing poor players, with no financial resources in an outdated stadium. Out of the 4 indicators of success we had none of them. We then got Moyes and potentially got to 2 out of the 4 were we got a good manager who eventually dragged the squad up to a good level but we had no money to sustain it and still at Goodison. Martinez arguably had good players but we were back to having 1 of the 4. Moshiri’s millions came along but they got wasted by poor managers so we remained at 1 of the 4 (although a different one in that we had financial backing but nothing else).

Id argue that we are now at 2 of the 4. We have financial backing, we have a top manager, but we don’t have top players yet. When we get the new stadium, if Ancelotti is still here we will have three of the 4 and arguably might even have the full house if Ancelotti has had time and money to improve the squad. We’re arguably in a better place for success than any time in our history since 87. It’s not showing in the league table yet, but we have been trying to recover from Koemaggedon. If we keep giving a world class manager money to spend though then at some point we will be successful.
