But it’s not sound is it haha. West Brom and Leeds have no more right to come up than Fulham. If you can’t relegated Villa as they have a chance to escape, you can’t promote teams that have a chance of dropping down into the play-offs.

It’s just common sense.

Exactly, and that's why the rs won't be awarded the title, it will open up a legal minefield. The whole thing will be voided citing force majeure, and the stench of piss across the park will have to "go again".

What would happen to the other comps as well though? City are arguably favourites to win their first ever CL, what if they’d been holding off in some PL games knowing this only for the CL to them be voided but the go between them and Liverpool to be used as the argument for Liverpool winning the title? Or the fact that Liverpool played joke teams in the FA cup to allow them to concentrate on the PL and that comp now gets voided but their lead in the PL is allowed to count.

It has to be everything gets finished and counts, or nothing counts.

But the notion of voiding the league isn’t based on any assumptions whatsoever?
Voiding the league means it’s not complete!!
Yes he’s assuming Liverpool have won the league! So give them the title, They haven’t!
The only way it can happen is if the current position now is your final position and you will be relegated, qualified for Europe/CL etc...
you simply can’t award them the title but not award Leicester CL or relegate Norwich.

It wouldn't really bother me if they awarded them the title. Ok, I would rather they didn't, but we could ridicule them by saying that they really only won it by default. It would add to the fume.

It all boils down to greed again for me. The lower league teams are at risk of going bust over the next few weeks and months without gate receipts and unable to pay wages. All LFC are interested in is their honours list.

Football as a community, the FA, Premier league and EFL should be looking at ways to keep these lower league clubs afloat because there won't be a football league if there's no football for 6 to 12 months.

Why? Because the leagues not complete?
So why hand Liverpool the title?

As a token gesture to say this season is completed.

If we void the season, the people who have bought the tv rights in theory would get there money back as the season was not completed.

It all comes down to money and the clubs will agree to it.

they aren’t champions though are they ? They are by far the best team but they aren’t champions . I watched goshen stroll that first race yesterday and win me a right few quid then the jockey came off because the race wasn’t over or Herol Graham win a world title boxing julian Jackson head off for 12 rounds only to end up on his arse . Point being You don’t win until it’s over and it’s not over

Totally agree, look, it's almost impossible that the RS wouldn't win the league... But we said that about Leicester winning it. If its still possible, they can't just end as is. I wonder if any bookies have paid out on them winning already? They would be proper gutted if they had.

There doesn't have to be a European competition next year, if they null and void it, there'll be less arguments about who goes into which competition.

It also could help the season continuing and starting next season a bit later, but that's not a good idea.

If the season is null and void, I do think teams should ask that Chelsea's transfer ban be implemented again btw, bit unfair they had a ban for a season that didn't matter.

Correct, and that's precisely why it won't happen without the vast majority of clubs agreeing to the voiding of the season.

As it's not in their interests to do so yet, most teams still have a shed load to play for, they wouldn't vote to void it.

Assuming future scheduling and contract issues can be overcome, there is nothing wrong with simply delaying the season and allowing the leagues to finish in their natural sporting way, once it's safe to do so.

As you say, it would be hugely unfair to a lot of teams to void the leagues and create a whole lot more legal matters to resolve off the back of this.

Sorry Just can’t see them granting only one place in the league as complete but not the rest, regardless of money and tv rights. All teams reap the rewards or pay the penalty of their current position or none do.

But you can't just make one decision favouring just one club, when there is European places and relegation / Promotion places to be decided. I mean who the hell in all this virus ridden world would just think that only one club matters ?

liverpudlians
Imagine having the past they have but casting death aside as non-important. They are riddled with double standards and entitlement. Hate them.
