The staff at Everton, or at least DM rate the LB Bidwell on a par or slightly better than Garbutt. Adam Forshaw wide midfielder is another to look out for. Certainly privately at least, the academy staff believe Barkley will open more eyes than Rodders did when he broke into the 1st team. Along with the likes of Duffy & Mustafi my own hope is that they are all able to get a chance on merit when they are ready, not because we can't otherwise fill the bench without them.

Adam Thomas is one I haven't heard anything about JD sorry. As for Forshaw I recall him running down the right wing and putting a couple of crosses in with his right boot. Read elsewhere he is quite competent in the Cahill role, so he might as well join the queue for that spot.
