70k a week, there or thereabouts. Sigurdsson about 100k same as Walcott, plus Sandro is still taking about 70k a week off us, and Iwobi is on comfortably more than that. Plus Tosun and Niasse take home about a combined 100k. The money in football really is disgusting. Even Stekelenberg who has played about 5 games in 5 years pockets about 30k a week. Unbelievable - could a youth player not do his role? That's about half a million on all of those utter wastes of space.

Hopefully he'll be a bit part squad player or loaned out over the remainder of his time here. I just don't see anyone taking him off our hands permanently.

A few faster and better players around him though and he'll still have his uses though.

I suppose if Swansea can come back up to the Prem then they might take him back?

Sigurdsson cost more and is on higher wages than both.

But he has contributed an awful lot more than both of them.

If he is under consideration for a squad place next year they will have to look at what makes the most financial sense.
His contribution to the squad by appearances would be minimal and his contribution during those appearances no doubt even less.

He's on big wages whicj could likely be better spent elsewhere and im not sure how many loan clubs would want to pay them either.

He doesn't fit anywhere in this team in any position. Move him on as soon as possible.

fair assessment.. if offers come in I’m sure they will be looked at... he might still be worth a £10m or so.. every bit helps.. but then we need to replace him... how much would that cost.. is there someone in the youth? Can Dowell step up (that ship has sailed)... all will get wrapped up in the final decision.. I do think he would be sought after by a lower mid table side.. still has a lot of quality..

There is no doubt that Oumar Niasse is one of the worst players we’ve ever had.

However Siggurdsson is by far the worst value for money we’ve ever had.

cant agree... yes he was pricy but last season he only has Digne in front of him in terms of most influential player of the season..

I don't see Beattie as doing anything less than Sigurdsson. Scored some goals, came from a lesser side, didn't fit into our system remotely.
