Thats your opinion obviously AC Milan have a different opinion on the player.

How has he cost the club millions? easy, the fee and sell on we get for Robinon has likely been spent on giving Baines a 1 year contract extention. 6 months latter the lad we chose to bin, moves to AC Milan for 6-10 million.

Now if Baines, goes in the summer, which is very likely, we need to go out and drop what 10 - 20 million on a new left back.

Millions wasted, its massively poor.
We end up clearing 3m when adding sell on to the transfer fee.
We would have got nothing for him this summer as his contract was up.

Now tell us again, what has Brands done wrong here?

would have been decent
There’s no way we would’ve ever had a chance of signing him, when he left Liverpool he said it was because he wanted to win trophies... it would be too humiliating for him if he were to return to England and signed for us of all clubs

Sorry mate, i dont disagree with your logic, but i disagree it was anything but a poor decision.

I think your broad position is absolutely correct. We need to be more ruthless and have not utilised quite a promising group of young players well enough.

The caveat though is that young players need game time to kick on, and I can't imagine Robinson would have got that here.

Baines may well stay another year the club too.
