Gremio have never spent more than £5.5m on a player. Their biggest sale was Arthur to Barcelona for £35m, before that the odd £9/10m sale. They clearly want to sell him for big money. Mane cost Klopp £34m and Soares could be a similar player for us, I think we should show him we want him and throw in an official bid, but who knows, it may be a formality and behind the scenes it may have already been agreed.

The Brazilian football season seems to go on all year round? They have games scheduled until May and the regular league is supposed to start again in May! Soares has made 53 club appearances since March 2019 + 6 for Brazil. Gremio have played 70 games in that time. 70 games in less than 11 months!
