Defended him a fair bit and I still think there is a player in there somewhere but it honestly seems like he hasn't improved much from when he was first brought in to the first team. He's 22 this year but still looks every bit the boy trying to be a man.
Hopefully Carlo can sort him out. A start would be sacrificing some weight for quickness.

I don't hate the lad like I do Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson. He's just plain not good enough, I don't even think he's proven he's PL level.
Tonight he came to do literally the easiest, most basic task you could ever ask of a player. Just go on for the final few minutes, keep the ball and don't be silly. And he couldn't even do that, in fact he was noticeably bad and I was thinking it before they'd even scored. Trying to dribble around opposition players in his own half FFS. Like Barkley he is an utter moron who is uncoachable (just minus the natural talent), learnt absolutely nothing since his debut.
Please bin him Carlo.
