January Transfer Thread 2020

For me I'd be looking to bring 2 in January and 2 main signings in the summer.

January is all about the midfield. We are crying out to replace Gana with no legs in the middle we are over run and out muscled in the middle. Attacking wise we need balance to the attack who can support as well as grab a goal or 4 and we need replace Walcott.

It is a expensive time to buy but you have Carlo Ancelotti here so prove it.

Defensive Midfielder:
1st choice - Denis Zakaria - £40/50m
2nd choice - Sander Berge - £20/25m

Right Winger:
1st choice - Everton - £25/30m
2nd choice -Steven Bergwijn - £30/35m

Come the summer, we can spend bigger to bring in players who's teams are underachieving but have big stars so potentially get them into the club quicker and cheaper than January.

With Gomes and Gbamin back we should have extra midfield cover so time to strengthen our defence further.

Right Back:
Max Aarons - £20m
Youcef Atal - £25m

Centre Back:
Diego Llorente - £25m
Nathan Aké - £35m

You play on computer games? lol

I don’t get the fascination with Ake. Not that tall (although that never bothered Cannavaro!) and is hardly pulling up trees at Bournemouth.

Although personally I think we’re alright up front for the rest of the season, Cavani would be an absolutely amazing signing - still one of europe’s best strikers

He’s a good player at a position of need that might be available in the summer at a decent price if Bournemouth go down.

Look at his stats for such a young defender he has a lot of experience already with Watford, Chelsea and Bournemouth.

He needs to move to a bigger club to test himself and we are a perfect fit. I feel he is a key player if he joined much like Lescott was (tho I hate to say it)

Just because nothing's happened doesn't mean stuff isn't going down behind the scenes, we don't need daily updates on what goes on at the club
No, but with 11 days of the transfer market left I’d hope we’d be seeing some exits and arrivals. It’s not like he hasn’t known how weak the squad is since the start of the season.

Again we don't know if any clubs have come in for players or not, or indeed what players are even for sale bar Niasse and Martina, likewise we may have made enquiries or offers for players that were rejected or still negotiating that the media won't have picked up on
