Usmanov

Since day one of Moshiri buying into us this has always been the end game, Moshiri and Usmanov running a top flight Prem team together, as they planned at Arsenal.

There are half a dozen reasons for Usmanov waiting a couple of years to make his interest official as he has this week, but he's been here all along since Moshiri bought the shares anyway we all know this, angry birds on the shirts, USM sponsoring a training ground, Moshiri has been paving the way for his good friend and partner being involved officially sooner or later.

These fella's love football, and they love Prem football that happens to be the best and most lucrative league in the world, they want to sit together in a brand new state of the art stadium watching their team compete at the top end of European football, they have immense wealth that they can't take with them to the after life, so why not enjoy their wealth with Everton.

It's always been the plan from day one of Kroneke blocking their way to power at Arsenal permanently, Arsenal fans loss as they feared is becoming reality.

That simply isn't true though. Moshiri bought Everton in February 2016 and Usmanov launched a bid to buyout Kroenke 15 months after that.

There is a difference though it is unlikely that anyone else would sponsor the training ground. That isn't the case with shirt sponsorship.
If the best non USM deal is £20m, and USM can give £50m, tat is why Uzzy would want to have USM sponsor it. A very transparent way of pumping cash into the club. The USM sponsorship of the training ground makes no sense other than being a vehicle to stick big wedges of cash into the club

You are throwing away £20m though.

Why not take the £20m shirt sponsorship and then sponsor the Club another way. Look at United they have 50 official sponsors we have 14. There is plenty of scope to increase commercial revenues without throwing away legitimate deals. The other problem with USM is that one of it's co-owners Skoch is on the US sanctions list.

He never thought for a second it would be successful, 2nd largest shareholder at Arse and not even a seat on the board, he was saving face with the Arsenal fans, Usmanov is clearly an Arsenal fan.

Usmanov wants to run a Prem team, and when it became clear Kroneke would not sell, stating in the press that he wanted to pass Arsenal down to his sons, Moshiri was dispatched to takeover Everton.

As far back as 2009 Usmanov and Moshiri aka Red and White holdings held 25% of Arsenal shares and were the largest shareholders. Kroenke held only 9.9% of the shares the ones he bought from Granada in 2007. If he was desperate to own Arsenal why did he allow Kroenke to hoover up the shares when the likes of Fiszman and Bracewell Smith sold their stakes.

Fiszman and Bracewell Smith both refused to sell to Usmanov.

"On 1 May 2009, Arsenal announced that Kroenke had bought a further 4,839 shares from the Carr family, including Richard Carr, also a director, which made him the largest shareholder of the company with 28.3%. On November the same year, this increased to the maximum 29.9% limit".

Usmanov could have offered double his offer in 2016 to Kroneke and the answer would have been the same, Kroneke would never sell to Usmanov, which is why Moshiri bought Everton.

Which is the real reason why Red and White holdings didn't end up owning Arsenal and not Kroenke's refusal to sell his shares years later. To me that raises serious questions about Usmanov. Arsenal's board went to extraordinary lengths to stop Usmanov gaining control.

Why would you have a holding company as shirt sponsors though. Firstly it means you are losing out on the genuine money that you could earn. Secondly the holding company doesn't gain anything by becoming more visible. City are sponsored by Etihad but that is a genuine company that benefits from the massive exposure that shirt sponsorship in the Premier League brings in.

Jesus.

It isn't about Kroenke though it is about why Usmanov didn't go past 30% and make a formal offer for the Club a decade ago. That raises serious questions about how desperate Usmanov is to own a Club and how willing he is to throw money about.
