Me too, like I’ve said - twice - I only looked it up in the first place because What I was seeing with my eyes suggested it wasn’t true. I actually found a previous post I’d made a couple of years ago which came to the same statistical conclusion. I’m really not trying to use it to have a go at Davies, I just think it’s interesting that people’s perception of what he’s doing isn’t necessarily in line with what he’s actually doing. Personally I think it may be because he has a tendency to look for the odd extravagant ball in a way that the others maybe don’t. These balls then stick in people’s head and become ‘evidence’ that he plays a lot of forward balls.
 


I suspect we've got ourselves another manager with a preference for experienced players. The message he gave to Davies by his team selection yesterday must have been a sickener for the lad.
 
Someone says he gets a lot of criticism. I wonder why? Just maybe he is not good enough by a country mile to play for Everton. He is not alone in that respect though.
