I don’t hate him I just think this season he has been absolutely woeful and that’s putting it nicely so I don’t get banned again.apart from the goal v West Ham and a descent kind of performance yesterday he’s done nothing but hide.hopefully ancelotti can sort him out is he will be gone in the summer

I don't think he's physically at the level anymore for whatever reason he hasn't that sharpness or ability to get into space to get shots off, and hasn't had it all season regardless of where he has played. Credit to him he has tried hard of late in the center of the park but physically he isn't up to it and can't dominate a game in possession. We need another central midfield playmaker.

He deigned to entertain us with a 5/10 performance and play better than he has in an age..but was still generally poor.

He's certainly playing better than he has, however his set pieces are still more often than not off the mark. If he could rekindle his previous form, he'd be an asset.

New role for him and new one for Seamus has reaped rewards straight away for Ancelotti.

We have called for him to play deeper and he has played his best game for us all season. Still not good enough though.

His fee was absolutely shocking and his persistent anonymity has definitely been detrimental to us many times over the past few seasons. He’s not helped us progress us as a team or our way of playing football, he’s capable of a decent dead ball from time to time, can thread the odd pass through and has a great right foot but his complete lack of pace, agility, poor off the ball movement, poor touch and inability to go past players is woeful when you consider he’s a £45 million number 10.

Guess I'm still not getting the outrage over the fee. He was unquestionably an asset last season.

That isn't to say he's worth 45m, he very likely isn't, but people act as though Gylfi's move involved some legendarily bad fee and it's not even really notable in modern football, even factoring in disappointing results.
