At least we agree on Robertson. Always some achievement when you become the most hated Liverpool player, that lad has done it with ease over the past 12 months. I actually enjoy tuning in to watch Scotland get beat because it´s one of the only times I get to see him looking miserable.

Why ? He hardly ever plays for Scotland as he is a nearly ways "injured", but don't think he's missed a game for Liverpool. That tells you all you need to know about "Scotland's captain".

1. Kevin De Bruyne: 69 chances created (1407 minutes)
2. Trent Alexander-Arnold: 52 chances created (1483 minutes)
3. Emiliano Buendia: 50 chances created (1339 minutes)
4. Jack Grealish: 44 chances created (1434 minutes)
5. James Maddison: 44 chances created (1504 minutes)
6. Lucas Digne: 43 chances created (1530 minutes)
7. Pascal Gross: 42 chances created (1154 minutes)
8. João Moutinho: 37 chances created (1530 minutes)
9. Sadio Mane: 31 chances created (1328 minutes)
10. Raheem Sterling: 31 chances created (1493 minutes)

oh look, no Chilwell or Robertson.

This season, 5 full backs have created more big chances than Lucas Digne, who has incidentally created the same number as Sidibe and Bournemouth's Diego Rico.

Robertson ranks joint top for the number of big chances created by a full back this season, Chilwell ranks joint 2nd.

Yes but that stat doesn’t support their argument

Which full backs would you both take over Digne?

Robertson suits what the RS do really well but I don't know that he's 100% a better players. Chilwell I can't stand so it is hard for me to give a fair assessment. League wide the LB position is kind of lacking. The rest of the "Big 6" outside the RS have pretty poor options.

At RB the same can be said of Alexander-Arnold as Robertson. Walker is really good, Pereira is decent but also a massive tit, and Wan-Bissaka is pretty one dimensional but superb at that part of the game. I'm not ready to rank Sidibe, I just need to be sure his crazy positioning isn't going to start costing us goals, but he looks like he could be in that group.

Honestly Digne and Sidibe is a pretty strong combo. It is part of why I want us to stop playing wingers and just let them be the width in attack.

I think if we bring in any more midfielders then with the rest of them added we may go 442 diamond next season.

That will bring the best out of Digne (and Sidibe).

I agree with @MarcelsGoat that I wouldnt swap Digne for anyone.

Wouldn't swap Digne for anyone in this league either. I'd like to go 4-4-2 diamond as soon as we get enough healthy midfielders to do it. Of course I also want to see Iwobi at the tip and now he is hurt too. I can't think of a faster way to screw up that system than playing Sigurdsson in the tip of the diamond.

Digne is up there with the best. What he needs is competition of a youngish player someone who can spell him off from time to time and keep him in his toes. Baines has been an excellent servant but is no longer dynamic enough to play the role. I wouldn't take Robertson as I think his defensive deficiencies are covered up by VVD. I think if he could get someone settled in front of him, my pick would be Bernard and we can get Holgate as his central defender consistently next to him he will return to last seasons form when in my opinion he was best LB in the league.

I’m happy with Digne. I like Digne. He’s sloppy defensively but I wouldn’t go to the trouble of swapping him with anyone.

That does not mean that he’s anywhere near the best LB in the league, let alone in Europe. The names i’ve mentioned, in my opinion anyway, are all better LB’s.

For where we are now, he fits a purpose. He’s a >good< LB, no more and no less and we should focus on improving other, more pressing area’s of the squad first.

When debating a players rank in comparison to the rest of the league, we always have a bias towards the ones we watch every week to the sky games in between. But generally the neutrals opinion is generally right. There’s not one supporter of any other premier league team who takes digne over robertson so just try and digest that before saying you wouldn’t swap him for anyone. He’s good and I like him. But come one, we all know it.....

This is fake news lol

Slightly out of form, but class is permanent.

Not sure what the blood from his nose was about as didn't see the challenge?
