im really struggiling to see the point in this loan deal

From what Sporting are saying he will return in June and havent mentioned anything about a future fee unlike us with Yobo and the Yak

Baffled doesent even begin to explain how im feeling right now

Seems strange if we have loaned him, I mean why would we loan someone who is going to be playing in the reserves, I mean if he did play for the first team, wouldn't it be better for us to play one of our own centre-backs? Maybe it means we have first refusal on him if or when he moves? Bizzare, and it doesn't help that the OS doesn't say anything.

It's always behind!!

LCAB and THT said it was a loan from the very start. It's a bit of a puzzler alright, but it's not new information.

To be fair I think they've both since then said the buying him and loaning him back thing as well. The confusion is prob an artefact of LCAB speak.

I honestly think it's basically a chance for us to look at him and see if he is worth it full time. An extended trial if you prefer.

Utterly pointless. All it does is give every other bloody club a chance to poach him.

Either sign him or don't! If the loan has a permanent fee clause included, fair enough, but if it doesn't and we'd have to start discussions at the end of teh loan deal... absolutely pointless.

That's why I'm wondering if we have first refusal on him as part of the deal, if it is a loan.

Moyes and Kenwrong at it again!

I'd guess there would be some sort of clause.

LCAB actually said it was permanent... never confirmed that it was a loan at any point.

Lets just wait and see what is confirmed by Everton OS.

If it is a loan, can imagine there is a potential fee at end of season, otherwise would be pointless.

Maybe they're paying us to take him on loan. More ££ for the 'warchest'

If so, that would make this the strangest transfer in footballing history ^^

It's got to be "stealth" permanent. I'm guessing Moyes wants to re-inforce immediately with his funds, so he doesn't want to blow cash now, so an agreement has been reached were we'll use our summer budget to buy him permanently.
