It did look brutal. I've been so impressed with Duncan's start as manager that I don't want this issue to gloss over what was a very good team performance. However that's probably the reality.

It will be interesting to see how Duncan responds to this. I think he probably needs to say something tomorrow because this story is not going to drop. It will overshadow preparations for the game this week if he doesn't put it to bed. In all likelihood, I think he needs to make a grovelling public apology to Kean (as difficult as it will be to do it) and sit the lad down for a heart to heart. If he wants to get rid in January, he'll have everyone's support to do so.

The snowflake generation in full flow.

Haha Dunc make a public apology that won’t happen he will stand by what he did, it’s Kean that needs to forget it train hard get on the bench for the next game and take his chance when it comes. Dunc will separate the men from the boys, Kean needs to be in the men’s bracket, not sulking down the line like a spoilt kid because he hasn’t got his own way.
He's entitled to do that and handle it however he wants. I just know how the press will be like a pack of hyenas sowing dissent and mistrust in the manager within the dressing room. I desperately want Duncan to be a success and will back him over this as the majority on here also have. However, there is the potential for problems to flare as a result of this, down the line, so resolving any lingering issues would seem to me the best way to move on from it and focus fully on beating Leicester on Wednesday.

Totally this, it was fair enough him shunning Dunc but should have gone to the bench. TBH that should be a rule, unless you are sent off or have to go because of injury.

Indeed.

He couldn’t have felt that “embarrassed” or “humiliated” if he leisurely strolled halfway down the length of Old Trafford in front of 75,000 people.

You think he would have quickly dived into the anonymity of that sub area.

But could doing something that’s seen as controversial shows Dunc means business, he won’t care about the media one bit. Also he won’t panda around the players or the board to get the job. I believe Dunc has one way his way and we need a bit of that.

We know Dunc's character. Can imagine he's the type to expect players to give everything for the shirt, play with emotion as well as your head which is why some players will of taken a liking to the way he does things. He knows the club and the fans inside out and whilst he's extremely inexperienced as a manger he's going to require maximum effort from everyone on the pitch.

If you aren't prepared to give a 100% then expect to get dragged off. For all we know it could all go wrong extremely quickly, his temperament might be a weakness, he might be found out tactically but he's got something we haven't seen leading this club for quite some time and that's a genuine love for the club and heart.

Think he deserves at least the rest of December for me and then go from there.
