The L.C.A.B. / THT Transfer Window Thread ....

No, I dont either. But this sort of activity is crazy when resources are scarce.

I'd view any transfer activity in this window where the manage doesn't throw everything we have at a quality forward as an admission we've sacked season 2010/11 off. What a let down.

40 points is all we need Dave, then we can sit back and wait for the Summer, I wonder where Rodwell will go, City? Utd? Chelsea? Maybe even Real?

Everton boss David Moyes had said in August that only a "sack-load of cash" would persuade him to sell a playmaker voted the club's player of the season last term.

Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar has agreed to join Tottenham after the two clubs agreed a fee of about £2.5m.

Cos now we've got a German yoof international, a Irish yoof international...and now a English yoof international centre back!

He's going multi-national!

But they all need to kill Tony Hibbo...because they'll never get a shot while he's still kicking a ball.

Within 12 months - two... or at least one of those young names will be in the first team squad knocking on the door....

I'd put cash on it.

(and I'm not talking about Hibbert there).

LCAB, whats Moyesies thinking with regards to Duffy and Mustafi's futures with the club if we are to sign this Dier kid cos there all in the same age bracket arent they, and even Hammar is bit younger, 16 or something like that?.

This is what I was thinking too. Mustafi is a German u19 international, Duffy has trained with the full Rep or Ireland squad and Hammar was only signed in the summer and sits at the top of the table with the rest of the u-18 squad. It seems odd that Dier being brought in unless he (or Duffy?) will become match squad regulars.

Getting him on loan is also weird unless we have something set up for the summer. If he doesn't impess we would still have Yobo to fall back on (If Heitinga does pack his bags as LCAB suggests)... All this seems pretty radical for Moyes, not the safe safe approach that were used too...

*channels Paul Weller...."YOOF EXPLOSION!"

Welcome mate.

Really wish more would take your lead! 90%+ of our traffic never post!

First time poster too. Signed up a while ago but haven't posted before. Making the permanent switch to GOT as I'm sick of the negativity on KIpper. Thanks to LCAB and THT for giving us a glimmer of hope during the transfer window! Hopefully there's more positive news to come in the next week

I dont think he's got a great record with signings of this nature (Coleman aside). He's good at dipping into the Championship and offering home grown a break. It all seems a bit too much like a lucky dip.

Ditto - guilty here too. Long time lurker, first time poster. Absolutely sucked into the transfer mayhem. Incredible entertainment on here. It's classy. Anyone likely to join before the weekend?

Havent got that far . I got a text not a call . Dunno .Could well be .

THE PASSPORT is the operative aspect ; RULE CHANGES.

Now , if I were a betting man ; fox - SAY FUK ALL !!! ,... Id say Our Manager , in looking to change the squad by perhaps 5/6 players , AND signing youth with a view to imminent rule changes , is looking TO STICK AROUND ...

Couldn't say for certain , like , but that would be my feeling ....

..Carry on ,...

My thoughts exactly!

He was also in the press 6 weeks ago saying, that if certain players form didn't improve...

maybe we will have to change things

And we've won more games this season without Pienaar than with him.

We defo need a winger. IMHO.

To a point. But this lad has some good write ups and is a big future prospect so Im glad he's in blue.

It doesnt change the club and the team a whole lot now and for next season mind but its a good buy.

We'll defo get about £20mill for him in the future when we sell him muhahahahaha

The club would ONLY get a upward momentum of critical mass - if we had ENOUGH young players coming through at the same time. Into the first team.

That way if players go out, out injured or other setbacks - our momentum's still up.

So I can see the logic. Plus this lad's similar age to Garbutt...

It's "how we roll" I'm told.
