not him as a player im worried about its more his leadership, when he got injured away at fulham last season our results/performances took a nose dive

dont see arteta as a captain an thats who moyes gave the skipper band to earlier when pip was out

Long term - JAGS

well you never know everton told him of arsenals bid at the start of season according to moyes, his form aint been great this season and if they are still interested whilst we are loosing senior players- yak, nuts +maybe nev and heitinga why should he hang about

he must no we wont be able to replace there quality financially that is

i am a negative person by the way so forgive my pecimism

my only care is efc

I can see mate, have some faith. We still have a young team capable of big things why would he want to leave?

Lets see who we replace pienaar with before we make any judgements about who we have lost.

just at best can only see loans coming in and if they do well cant see us afforing them, would love barton, adam and a striker if nugent would be one of them then 2 strikers as i think nugent is unproven at this level although obvs you would not be able to question his and barton's commintment to the cause

i still believe we could finsih 6th

but under the current regime that is all we can hope for thats the shame and if the RS rediscover some form and the yanks pump some cash in in summer they could be back up there

didnt help seeing villa splashing out up to 24mil on one player

I'm stepping into the light lads and ladies. I've been lurking for far too long. Saw a few others have come out of the woodwork and thought now would be a good time for me to do so. LCAB you've been gracious enough to respond to me a few times on Twitter (where I prowl around as MontagueStreet) so you'll know I am an "appreciator." First post but onwards we go from here!!!

Seems we had a little bit of a result on Peanuts deal and anything that pisses Redknapp off will do fine for me. Through gritted teeth I've got to say the board have played this one as well as they could under the circumstances. (I think anyhow.) Peanuts worth far more than 3m and we all know that but I think we were all settled on 2m so BONUS for us in these tough times. Really hope this gives Moyes a couple more options. Money from Yak loan plus JH exit will hopefully give him enough to capture one of his real targets rather than a stop-gap/"he'll do for now" type signing. OK. Rambled enough. First post over. Sorry it took so long.

just got in after a busy day, i take it we haven't signed anyone, but Pienaars leaving to tottenham to free up funds, am I about right with that? and btw LCAB, any chance that with funds from the Pienaar and Heitinga deals that we might now have the funds to signs mega fod?

3 mill is good considering only 5 months left on his contract

the prob is financially we cant get a player as good as him for that money

also IT SHOULD NEVER have got to this stage he should have been offered a contract at the start of last season

i HOPE we get felli signed up this summer window nic 4yr contracty extension will do for me. FANTASTIC player

At leasts 3m gives us a bit scope....in MoyesLand 3m is closer to 30m anyway...the man can work wonders, another cahill and arteta please.

Where is Jonny off to? How much we getting for him?

Is Heitinga still looking likely to go? I think we'll be letting go of a quality player if he does, but if his hearts not in it then it's just unfortunate. We're losing good players fast though, I hope Moyes has something up his sleeve. We've got to get some players in before the windows shut!

Yeppers. Agree with you totally. I also think if he gets a goal under his belt, his confidence will go up another notch and we could see more displays like that one against City we all remember. We need to show some Felli-love to stop him being tempted by the sky 4 though. If possible!!!
