It certainly would mean more if it was announced the morning after Pochettino was confirmed as manager.

Common sense from Zat. I suppose if City finish 4th this year thery're bound to reduce their prices...not.
 
From his point of view, odd timing to sign a new contract given how obviously close he is to the manager and his job security.

But, yep, good news. Either he's very committed to the club or we get top dollar for him if we sell.
