Literally this. He has the luxury of having two players so good up front that he can play them both sacrificing shape and system but being able to bail him out enough times over the course of the season to stay in and around the top 8. We have absolutely nothing close to that.

Unai Emery is a good continental coach. But he plays a slow build from the back game that just doesn’t work here. If he cannot succeed with Arsenals far superior squad, how will he do here?
His English is also very poor, and that is a huge drawback for him.
Best thing he could do is return to Spain, where his style of play works well.

And this is just another example of how player power has ruined the game for me. The lazy feckers were losing games they would not be losing if they actually did a hands turn.
This football culture were coaches are either masters or fools is ridiculous, while the players are getting off Scot free for not even putting in minimal effort while earning multimillions. Emery has suffered from it, Mancini even Moyes at Man Utd and Sunderland of all places.

No I agree with you. I'm still looking at that Sevilla team, the partnership he built with Monchi and the way he improved players rather than simply buying replacements.
But that's beginning to look like ancient history in football terms.
