I recall his arrival. He'd done STUFF ALL in Germany. His career was on it's knees. And him and his agent made their intent obvious when they would only sign at two year deal in 2009 after his loan.

You obviously don't recall it that well mate.

http://www.evertonfc.com/player-profile/steven-pienaar

He played for South Africa at the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana, but returned to Goodison with an injury.
Pienaar was back in action by the end of February - but his long term future soon became a topic of debate.
Any worries were soon put to bed though, as Everton concluded a deal with Dortmund in April that saw Pienaar make his move permanent for the bargain fee of £2.05million.
He signed a three-year deal until the summer of 2011.

I stand corrected on the length of THE CONTRACT.

Either way the intent remained the same. For him and the Agent-Snide.

And I recall that Steven Pienaar isn't really all THAT good. He relies on Baines to be more effective.

Guess you can say the same when Lescott played behind him.......

Compeltely disagree mind.

He does draw alot of fouls though. Most fouled player in Prem last year I think? Not here nor there I guess.

Everton Claims ?

missed a trick their steven - and the agent-snide - unusual for them greedy selves.

His agent will be on SSN claiming that the door was being unreasonable next.

Class Matty. On the contract issue , his agent hawked him all over Europe but Steven WANTED to STAY last time. This time his agent has got into his head about the Arteta contract and so one it got to that stage it was over.....

But surely you were suggesting their intent was signalled by signing a 2 year contract.

How can signing a three year contract which i believe is pretty standard show intent of anything bad?

Because of the size of the initial wages (which in coming here anyway and what we offered would of been far higher than those in Germany or Holland).

Because they were difficult negotiations which almost broke down the first time round.

Because they refused to lengthen the contact any longer than that length. It was widely discussed at the time on Radio City Sport.

That his agent has been a complete belter.

That he does rely on other players to be effective. Therefore he's really not that good. As his agent's tried ON HERE, the media etc to make out like he's a superstar.

That either way - Pienaar and his agent's views on their ability are not based in REALITY. - RECALL PERFORMANCE IN WORLD CUP ... and this season...

The intents been clear all along.
