Except they didn't did they? They knew after the blades game he was toast. So they went out and made a deal in principle with Mourinho (see the story about them having lunch 2 weeks ago) then punted Poch once that was done.

Theres no way Mourinho would sit there for weeks and weeks on the off chance Spurs decide to get rid.

The reason they were able to do it so quickly was that everything was already in place.

You can't argue the board should back Silva until yesterday then moan that backing him didn't involve having a top manager hanging by the telephone just in case.

So if we knew silva has been under pressure then the board should have a plan b and therefore if a situation arises, we’re equipped. It took 28 days for FS so I’m fearing the worst.
