Find it a bit mad that people are getting warm under the collar about other people liking certain games
The 'walking simulator' genre has been widely derided in recent times - but I can honestly say that some of favourite gaming experiences over the past decades have been within this genre - Dear Esther, Firewatch, What Remains of Edith Finch, Gone Home, Her Story etc - All beautiful, thoughtful short experiences that satisfy me in a way that a million triple A lootbox filled slogs could never
That's not to say that I only play these games - My all time favourites include FF7, Red Dead Redemption, numerous versions of Pro Evo, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, Resident Evil 4. To suggest that these smaller, slower games are any less valid within the medium of gaming is ludicrous.
Just because you don't like something doesn't make it bad.
