Ignorance?

Do you reckon it could be that, Im presuming here, the season ticket holders you know or go the game with are from the Wirral area and dont want to move to Kirkby as they will have to travel further?

The only reason a lot of people dont want to go is that they cant be arsed to travel to Kirkby. The out of the city argument is a snidey masquerade.

I know people who are from Liverpool, from the Wirral and from North Wales. They don't want to go to Kirkby because they don't want to leave Goodison. Simple as that. Howard Kendall doesn't want us to leave Goodison, neither does Ferguson and Big Nev. Are they talking out of there arse too?

Maybe there is not a plan B Ghost, and thats why we have to move because our stadium is inadequate in the modern day era and we cant afford [Poor language removed] all else.

Something about looking gift horses in the mouth?

Are Arteta, Moyes & Cahill talking out of theres?

Like I said, I wouldnt base my opinion on what others say - I weigh things up for myself and make what I consider to be a rational decision.

Should we have stayed at Bellefield for the heritage or moved to Finch Farm? Ask the ex players and then the present players.

Yes but what is Plan B? Because BK has already said that if the fans wanted us to stay we would have done. But surely that was not possible with the stadium falling down.

I submit there was no plan B, because the club had already decided, regardless of the vote. The vote was a PR excercise, and nothing more.

All about frames of reference though isn't it.

All Everton fans want success on the pitch, that's what creates the legends, not the venue that they're performed in. It's widely regarded that financially staying at Goodison is not possible in its current form because it doesn't generate enough revenue.

So, if Goodison stays the same the team suffers, if we move to Kirkby we get a reasonably cheap stadium and greater long term revenue to spend on the team.

If we stay at Goodison and redevelop it, we have greater up front costs because it will be a costlier build. We will lose significant chunks of money because either stands will have to be out of action whilst they're rebuilt or we'll have to move somewhere else whilst the ground is rebuilt. Will you be happy to see the teams ambitions suffer in the short term as funding is diverted to Goodison? Would you be happy to share a ground with Liverpool as the old girl is rebuilt? It's a distinct possibility as I seem to remember the old redevelopment plans calling for the pitch to be rotated 90 degrees or some such.

No one wants to leave Goodison, it'll be heart renching. But it's got to be done.

Well that was not put in the hands of the fans, and is not directly linked to the fans really.

Well like I just said the whole thing has been PR, Arteta et al verses older legends.

Ah but Bruce, our stadium has gotten worse since 1990, but the club in the past 5 years has got better. So are you saying if we don't go to Kirkby then we are doomed? Because that's rubbish.

The TV money plays a big part in that. The last financials weren't all that good and you get the impression that the club are at a stretch financially right now. They're investing in the team but they're being stretched to do so.

So what happens if the ASDA thing beats the Tescos thing? Are we [Poor language removed]?

This is also significant to the rebuilding of Goodison, closing a stand to build a new one would mean a significant decrease in capacity which equals a significant decrease in funds add to this the extra money being spent on it means it is not feasible. A ground share option for a year or two would be the only option. Share with the [Poor language removed]?

Well if Kirkby falls through, then this would need to be looked at, but it seems the club are reluctant to have contingency plans. All big organisations have contingency plans, why don't we have one?

Plus how come BK was willing to remain at GP, yet the club is not going to be able to handle such, because of safety issues?

Its about time scales- Im looking at the bigger picture, in 5-10 years time Goodison park will not get a safety certificate. We might be able to get one for 20k but not capacity. In the inerim we CAN stay at Goodison but you have to look at the bigger picture and the long term plan.

Yes, but why did BK say we would stay if it fell through? It still may fall through. Why is nobody willing to talk about that eventuality?

I dont understand- He said if it falls through we will have to stay at Goodison and look at any alternatives that arise. What other option would we have if it falls through? Go play at Finch Farm for our home games?

Well exactly. Why is the chairman saying if the fans want us to stay we will stay. Yet at the same time Wyness saying it is impossible for us to stay.

Its inconsistency, and that's what's worrying me.
