We were better performance wise yesterday but the pressure is on now. He needs to be producing results and fast, the errors in box boxes are killing us, whilst we can blame the players the coach has to change that.

Even though I never wanted him I was honestly hoping he'd come in, change our whole mentality and organise us properly, I wasn't expecting miracles as I how poor our squad was. Many of you were very upbeat and positive about him, so I thought maybe it was me that had him wrong.

Over the course of last season I was waiting to see his philosophy come together. We waited and waited but one good game was followed by a terrible one.

I'm quite sure we even failed to put a single decent 90 mins in. It's waz all very odd.

The last few games last season with nowt on them were nothing to judge the team by as has shown with the start this season.

Was really hoping for a great and positive start to this campaign but I think our lack of activity where it matters in the window has really set us back.

Anyway I can't see how this team gets the results Marco needs to keep him in a job here.

It feels like he is compromising his philosophy to get Gylfi in the team. He needs to play 433 if that's what he believes in. It's all very odd. The simple truth is he may be a decent coach but his teams are too inconsistent and the evidence of his record prior to Everton says that too.

Lol if you can't stand Silva and think Bielsa is the answer. No man knows how to utterly boss a game and still lose better than him.

And those of you seriously suggesting Mourinho - thank you for the timely reminder that things could always be worse.

Yeah i mean like that Mourinho bloke has only won 2 champions leagues, 2 europa leagues and a pile of other trophies.I would take that sort of "worse" any day.

It was an improved performance but how many expected this? A lot of us because we knew the players would be up for it at home against a respected team not a no mark team like Sheff United.
The manager is falling down the Martinez route where he's so stubborn he won't change it because it's my way or the highway, We've used the same players and formation in the past 3 games....and we've lost all of them.
I don't wanna keep changing managers but this situation is just getting out of hand, He doesn't have it in him to switch it up or pull out a joker card that people won't expect.

Yeah, United, Chelsea and Arsenal give opponents 3 points all the time.

I think my criticism of this is why couldn’t he bring that style of play and attitude into this season.
We seem to have started the season with a certain apathy and no real focus.
I appreciate still very early and things can change, but also it could worsen

That's just blatantly untrue. I mean, not even close. I would venture it's even closer to 20%.

Bizarre how everyone is claiming they were not Silva fans.

I know about 4 evertonians including myself who felt Alladyce should have stayed.

99% felt we would improve under Silva but are now making excuses for him or themselves.

If we had a decent finisher we might not be to bad. Silva, brands, whoever. To go into this season so lightweight up front is criminal.

He has 3 games because if we come out of those still under 10 points then there is no other option to move him on. That will be 10 games in and only city is the fixture we would be classed as a proper underdog. We should be AT LEAST on double the points tally.

There are certainly some adverse circumstances and Gueye and Zouma are proving to be hard to replace. But that's done.

Big failings in not getting another CB/Striker, and injuries have cost us.

But I expect more from the manager.

He can either excel, cope, or fail in adversity, and at the moment he is failing, and I take out yesterday's match.

Surely at a minimum he could keep us ticking over, rather than this turgid run.

We should still have enough to get at least some results from three of the four league defeats.

What Everton manager can say all is rosy and perfect over the last 30 years?

Silva has to make do and mend - do better. That is what he is there to do.

Before the end of September he is now needing some wins badly and he has to look at himself and ask why that is.

Sooner or later the man has to produce something positive and out of expectations.

At the moment it is just all more of the same and the road to nowhere again.

Because his team was broken up in the summer and Brands didn't buy well.

I was dumbfounded we took Silva as manager and the results we are getting are what the board and fans deserve.

However, I have no doubt Silva is a better football manage than anyone on this forum.

My main gripe is Brands. 85% of evertonians knew the centre half position was vital to improve in the summer, Silva also pointed this out many times - guess what BRANDS bought noone.

We needed to replace our best player (Gueye) with a top international or 2 - the jury is very much out.

99% of evertonians have been saying since Lukaku left that to progress we need a top class centre forward. We have had the funds to do this.
BRANDS bought a 19yo who wont be ready for a few years.

I dont think anyone on here would do a better job than Silva but fancy that with a bit of training over 60% would have done better than Brands.

Well the ones we have had since Moyes don’t look like they care less about us, Man Utd and Chelsea are doing it. They are far from the finished article but doing better than us. I’d be over the moon today if Arteta and Unsworth were to be appointed, but the most important thing is we need to get Silva gone, isn’t and will never be good enough.

Arteta I agree, but because of who he is, not because he is an ex-blue

...but at leat Silva has underlined he can do a job in the dugout at Everton, even if he isn't doing it this season yet. Moshiri has overseen a calamity, and Brands is getting it all wrong. His scattergun £25M-£30M fee recruitment method is just horrendous.
