Hello?

Concern yoursekf with the here and now.

We are going backwards from last season, when Silva was in charge......and that is a fact.

If Sam and Unsy are the yardsticks by which we measure Silva then lower half mediocrity and surviving the odd relegation scrap will be our level in perpetuity.
we are struggling defensively because we have lost 2 proven defenders in Jags and Zouma since last season, Holgate not that impressive. We have also lost one of the best defensive midfielders in Gana. It'll settle in time and I reckon Brands will have to bite the bullet and go shopping in January for a CB at least. If we are 15th at the end of the season I'd agree with Silva out but not yet. What are the yardsticks you measure Silva by? We haven't won in 25 years and that cup win was a dogged win. we weren't great since the 80s. Moyes was solid towards the end in fairness, Martinez had one good season as did Koeman, decent anyway. The point I'm making is, again, who do you get in? It isn't that simple

7 games, 2 wins, 4 defeats, 1 draw, 7 points, goals for 6, goals against 12. Defeats to Villa, Bournemouth, Sheff Utd, absolutely Atrocious start.
I would LOVE for someone to try to paint it differently. I've just never seen a better reason than "you have to give him time" which is the dumbest fn reason on the face of the earth.

If only he was that good.

At least we would have had one exciting season from him :)
Not in my opinion, Martinez was handed a defence which was functional and he failed to build on that strength because preventing goals was not in his mind set....no plan B. Exactly the same with Silva....doesn't know how to turn a match around or motivate players who are ok when there is nothing at stake (end of last season ?). Mediocrity personified....
