It is sucking all the passion out of the game. And these miserable people that sit and say, 'right decision though', obviously aren't real fans of the game and what it means to be a supporter and experiencing the enjoyment of a goal. But you know what, with all the stupid amounts of money in the game now, fans can easily be sacrificed (n).

Also, not to mention the mental impact on players, such as Chelsea yesterday, when a goal is taken away 2 minutes after celebrating.

Just trust the officials... Would rather have the odd one or two decisions go wrong (that normally even out at the end of the season anyway) and be able to celebrate a goal.

That is why VAR is so unsuitable for football.

Imagine a throw in is wrongly given to a defending team near their own goal line.

From the throw in, the ball is hoofed up the pitch and their striker scores from it.

Other sports aren't so free flowing ergo they are more suited to VAR.

100% agree.

But I wasn't even talking about such clear cut situations. A team could have 20 decisions go against them during the course of a game which completely change the the game, but can't be reviewed by VAR. Then they could finally get in the box in the 90th minute and score a goal and it gets disallowed by VAR. I have seen Pat Nevin try to point this out but it just seemed to get ignored.

I'm late to seeing the everton game. Wasn't Pickford been impeded there? It's the type of one that you wish wed have VAR but it got checked and nothing doing. I don't get it.

There was minor contact, maybe one ref in 10 would have given us a free-kick. Pickford was weak, he should have muscled the guy out of the way.

Agree with this, I actually think linesman do a great job and accept the odd one will go for or against you due to the fractions involved. but now to change the whole mood of a game because of it is pathetic.

Where are all these people who said there'd be more goals with VAR?
