SILVA PRE MATCH LINCOLN P/C

Silva on Gbamin
Day by day we will see how he can be. For the moment we can talk to you about 6-8 weeks.
In this moment these are the targets for him to be training with us.

It’s a tough moment for him of course, and we are here to support him. It’s not an easy moment, but it’s part of football and it can happen. Now it’s up to us to put him in the best condition.”

Delph ready
Marco Silva says Delph in the “condition” to play.

Silva on Lincoln selection
Lincoln is a team we know very well, they know us well.
We play with our maximum ambition in this competition to do something special.
We will play with the XI I think is best to win the match.

We are talking about a team very strong on set pieces and they will give their maximum to play against us.
It’s up to us to do what we should to win the match.

Silva on his own side
We have to be ourselves, respect the competition and respect the opponent.
This type of competition is always tough to play, but we have full confidence in our team.

On the League Cup
In football, the most important thing is winning football matches.
Our way is to go there to win the football match, to stay in this competition.

Silva on Delph
When we signed him I said for sure he’d be an important player for us.
He can give different options to me in a technical point of view.
Now is a moment for us to decide if he’s ready to start or not.
He will be a really good player for us.

On JP and Delph
When you lose one player like JP, you’re talking about a completely different profile.
Fabian can play No. 6 but he’s a different profile.
Maybe we have to play a different way when he is there.

On Aston Villa
The last game was a bad result for us but we have to react.

Silva on Iwobi
Not just him but Kean’s impact was really important [against Villa]. They understood what I expect.
Alex gave us very good things in that moment and I’m very sure with more minutes we’ll see his quality.

Where do you nab these from mate?

SILVA PRE MATCH WOLVES P/C

On Lincoln
It’s all important to score goals and win.

On Wolves at Goodison this weekend
It’s important to play together to win a football match. It’s important to play together to win a football match.

On new signings
I liked what I saw. It was what I expected for some of them. For Fabian & Alex it’s easier because they know the competition.
It’s important for the team to start to know each other. Doesn’t speculate on whether they will start on Sunday

On Wolves
Wolves did a very good season, they keep with the same 11 - strong team, solid team.
They will be waiting for the right moment to counter attack.

On transfer window
If we had to close a bit later that might be the best solution

Silva on Kevin Mirallas' potential move to Antwerp
Nothing official” on Kevin Mirallas going to Antwerp. He says it’s “still a possibility” that Mirallas and Yannick Bolasie will leave in this window.
“All of them know my decisions for the squad. It is important for them to find a solution.”

VAR
Take more time to come to more conclusions. The rules are there, when something goes for you then very good,
but when it goes against you so not good.

Silva on Injuries
Only player injured at this moment is Gbamin.
Everyone else is available

SILVA PRE MATCH BOURNEMOUTH P/C

On international break
Marco Silva pleased to see so many of his side who went away on international duty get minutes
Marco Silva says none of the players who’ve been on international duty have returned with injuries

Jonal Lossl and JP Gbamin update
Marco Silva says Jonas Lossl is not “ready” to return yet.
Everton manager says it remains “too early” to put a timescale on Gbamin’s return.

Silva on Tom Davies
It’s important to see him playing, that’s the main thing for me.
Says he doesn't view Tom Davies as a defensive midfielder despite youngster's positive displays there for England Under-21s during international break

More on Davies
Our plans are clear with him, it’s important for him to play for us. Competition will be really tough, not just for him but for the others.
He’s really working hard, giving his best every day and it’s what I want from him.
He has to work really hard and be ready for the right moment.

Start to season
The position for us for now is not the most important thing, it’s important to see if the team is growing or not and learning.

Bounce back after Aston Villa
We had a bad result against Villa, which was a strange game for us.
Of course we’re in a good moment at home, it’s important for us to get good results away.

On Bournemouth this weekend
Our last away game against Bournemouth was an entertaining one, even if I didn’t like the end.
I hope it will be a tough, entertaining game and if possible a win and a clean sheet.

More on Bournemouth
Silva says Bournemouth have improved from last season.

International break timing
The timing of the international break was not the best, but it is what it is. Wolves was a good win for us, this morning we’ve analysed what we did well and what we need to improve.”

On Alex Iwobi start
We try to sign the right players, to come here and help us. One or two of them (signings) didn’t need time to adapt,
they just changed the shirt. They adapt so fast, him and Fabian.”

More goals
Silva demanding more goals from his forwards and wingers this season.
Marco Silva: “Richarlison has the instinct to score and I want the other wingers to have the same instincts.
Alex has the quality to improve. Silva told Iwobi when he was signing that he would “demand” more goals from him.

Silva on Iwobi
He’s working really well, he has the quality. Many things to keep improving because he can really help our team.
He has to score more goals (since leaving Arsenal). The other things is to keep improving is his defensive processes. He has the quality

Silva on away form
We have to improve. If you look maybe two seasons ago, we’ve improved clearly and what we need to do this season is improve on the last.
To be honest, we don’t change anything special when we play home or away.

More on away form
You have to look at your opponents, their strengths and weaknesses, but always looking more for us and what we can do in matches.

Lets see what the bozo has had to say for himself.

Hmmmm not sure about playing the same way home and away - maybe the fact teams attack us more when we play away shows we haven't the quality to play so open hence why we aint winning alot of these games?

Fella needs to be fluid and not so rigid like Brown Shoes was.
