I mentioned seeing George Best at Goodison as one of the best forwards I had ever seen this player Alan Gilzean, and also Jimmy Greaves were up there to with Bobby Moore, and Geoff Hurst - this photo shows an aging Gilzean v a certain Mike Lyons - we lost 2-0 in the FA Cup.....doh

We were well beaten in that game
Gilzean certainly had class. Similar to Berbatov.
He always seemed to look old

There used to be a fair few players like that,Coates,Lockhead,Mancini,Noble,it used to be fine for the short sighted,there was always a baldy,a ginger,a tall skinny one,a small tubby one etc
