Funny how all the big decisions seem to consistently going against one side, man city.
Var is supposed to check for penalties yet they didn't bother when it could have benefited city? Corrupt if you ask me

They will have checked the penalty, just not felt it constituted a clear or obvious error. I disagree with that but it is ultimately a subjective call.

The disallowed goal is a black and white one -- the VAR showed it touched his arm, something none of the officials noticed, so it was turned over. The right decision according to the laws of the game (though the new handball rule is stupid and needs changing again in my opinion).

We're gonna get to the point were fans and players no longer even bother to celebrate a goal until VAR has been checked. Limbs everywhere moments won't be a thing anymore. This BS will be the death knell of football if it's not scrapped.

That’s my worry. Nobody will celebrate until the other team is kicking off again from the centre circle.

People confuse the current implementation of VAR (shockingly bad) with the concept of VAR (potentially awesome).

My fear at the moment is a) the rubbish implementation and b) the idiocy of pundits who talk about it will preclude the game from its benefits from years to come.

Is there an mandiate for this?

Did the clubs have a vote, I might be ignorant but I’m unaware of one.

It’s been imposed by stealth to help the established media teams like United and Liverpool.

Spain has var for a while, and they favour Barcelona and Madrid.

The only ‘big’ clubs I can see having problems with it, is Manchester City, and that’s for obvious reasons.

Please show your evidence for all of this.
