RIP Archie McInnes, died yesterday evening, on his 100th birthday
Archie was a Battle of Britain veteran who flew Hurricanes during the battle and lost an arm when he was shot down. His death leaves only 5 vetrans left from Bomber Command who flew in the BOB

Pressed like, then removed it, doesn't really seem fitting to 'like' the fact that a hero died.
The other few, who were actually many and are now truly a few and fewer by the day.
No snowflakes need apply
 

Genuinely gutted to hear this today - The Purple Mountains album is my AOTY so far

He was meant to tour that album tomorrow, Woods were the backing band. It's was such a good comeback.

Probably the only person I still listen to from when I was 15 or so. Listened to silver Jews (because of the name) before sonic youth, pavement etc.
