3 hours to go. We’re weaker in defence and midfield.

We’ve added depth, I concede, but quality wise we’ve gone backwards.

Worryingly we’ve Only seen a slight improvement in attacking positions, and it would be unrealistic to expect Kean to score more than ten.

Zaha kinda makes the window a success, for me.

As it stands we’ll finish no higher than 7th, very disappointing to say the least.

Rojo doesn’t solve any problems at cb and it’s just another loser on our wage bill.

We’re a winger and Cm short of what our manager wanted.

No it wasn’t

We’d been linked with everyone we signed last deadline day in the days before and expected something to happen

I dunno mate I can’t remember Zouma and Gomes being linked, they literally broke in the final few hours, Mina was the only one. Saying that tho mate I can’t remember what I had for breakfast never mind last year.

I'm really hoping we get the personnel we require today to push on. However, I'm at peace with the notion that we may not now!

I'm aware that one can stir themselves up into a frenzy when reading this forum. So many claims, so many desires whipped up into a faux reality. The deification of Mr. Brands can sometimes appear cringeworthy. I know many of you bleed Everton and want to believe we will once again rise from the phoenix and compete at the top. Who knows, maybe we will. I certainly hope to see this before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

Let us be realistic though. There's a good chance we may not be getting that elusive marquee winger or centre back this time around! Obviously, I don't know but it's a distinct possibility at this late stage.

It seems realistic, due to what various clubs, agents, have reported that we have made many tremendous bids for various players in the last few weeks. From the outside, it certainly looks like it is tremendously hard to prize top players away from their clubs!

If we stick with what we've got right now will we progress further next season? Maybe, maybe not. It wouldn't surprise if we did not though as right now there has been no statement signing. Yes, Moise looks like a great prospect but he's a really young lad. We lost Zouma and Gueye who were crucial to our defence.

I'm just saying maybe it's time to chill and forget the frustration if nothing transpires later on. We go with what we've got.

If a sweet miracle occurs though I'll be fist pumping (that sounds really dodgy) with the rest of you!

Zouma was linked the day before at the very least, Gomes a few days earlier than that
