He scored goals and got assists in a team which himself and Townsend aside offer very little going forward. Look at Palace’s record with and without him if you’re concerned about how effective he is.

...his overall scoring record is quite poor, especially when compared to somebody like Richarlison. As @davek says, he entertains, he goes past players, he goes on mazy runs and he gets brought down but I often ask myself where he’s going. It looks good, but he’ll run infield, across the pitch rather than looking to get behind the back four.

You don’t see him regularly popping up in the threatening positions Richarlison does, and I never get the impression he’s an accurate finisher.

Get him playing in the top third, get him going to war with his full back, get him looking to get on the end of balls into the box when his teammates have the ball. More effective than flashy. He’s got the ammunition but he needs to play with more purpose in a good team.

Tbh, I think he's worth £65m in the current market, anyway.

Let's look what he'd bring:

- Proven goalscorer in this league
- Proven creative player
- Versatile and plays anywhere across the front
- Bags of pace, power and skill
- No dodgy knees (touch wood)

Draws defenders to him as well, teams proper man mark him. Should open up lots of space for Sig/Rich et al.

He isn't proven though at top level he's proven he can do okay at Palace, the same Bolasie did

He's going to be a massive disappointment, we've still not got rid of Henry, throw a few millions at the FA to get his GBE and then we've got the winger we need without stupid prices and wages
