He was very good when he came on, but it's a common theme with Saha, he usually comes back and puts in a decent performance from the bench. When he's in the team he just seems to get comfortable and his inconsistency is there for everyone to see. He's a very talented footballer, but the mentality doesn't seem to match his ability.

sums him up perfectly.

maybe by keeping him on the bench it will make him hungry.

Louis Saha linked with January transfer to Bordeaux

Louis Saha could be among the departures from Goodison Park in January after Bordeaux inquired about the Everton striker. The French club's head coach, Jean Tigana, managed the France international at Fulham and is interested in a reunion with a striker who has struggled badly in the Premier League this season.

Saha has not scored a league goal since February, shortly after he signed a new two-year contract, but has retained Moyes' faith during the barren spell. Whether the Everton manager sanctions an exit is likely to depend on his success in securing a replacement in January, with the City pair Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz under consideration for loan.

I would sell him for a few bottles of wine - just to take him off the wage bill and make it impossible for Moyes to select him.

From what I've seen this season, I'll help drive him over. I'll even make the car extra cushy for him.

Even without Saha's goal drought being a factor, i'd consider selling him as a good move. Our oldest striker and one of the highest earners, injury prone and inconsistent. At any rate, looking at our striker department - it's in shambles and in bad need of an overhaul, if only just to give the younger kids a chance (Joao Silva, wtf??) and sort out the pecking order. Yak is still worth keeping, so is Vaughan at any rate. Bringing in one more marquee name there instead of Saha is what we really need in january.

This. Would rather keep those two than Saha or Vic for that matter.

We don't have the luxury of keeping highly paid 32 year old strikers who don't score goals. That simple for me really.

This is where he plays with a solid and regular strike partner for Bordeaux and scores 87 goals in a season.

Then Man City buy him for £56 million.
