There must come a time when the constant injurys will start to significantly reduce Saha's ability.

Maybe its happening now?

Contrary to other's thoughts I actually don't think he's been bad in the last 2. Also looked a different player in the last 10 against Arsenal when he had Yak/Beckford supporting him. Forced Fabianski into a quality stop and nodded down for Cahill's goal.

In close season against Preston Saha and Beckford looked really good together. If we're going to play one up front I think we need to see more movement from them. Torres and Drogba will drop deep for the ball or come wide into the channels. Saha just stands up against his man. I'd like to see Moyes experiment by starting with two upfront. I appreciate that it's difficult to accommodate Cahill as well, but we need to find a system that suits the strikers and enables them to score.

Bottom line is that Saha cant play with Cahill. They are like marmalade and gravy. Dont put them together.

When he scored all those goals in the first half of last season, Cahill was either injured or playing in a deeper midfield role.

Loius has become more of a second striker as he's got older and slower.

Its either Cahill or Saha with Yak or Beckford.

I've wanted to see 442 for awhile but Cahill can't be accomodated in that role and he won't be dropped so we'll only see it when we're chasing a match.

I would like to see any combination of Saha/Yak/Beckford to get a run of matches together though.

The obvious thing to try would be 4-4-2, with Arteta back out on the right and Cahill playing alongside a defensively minded partner (Heitinga, Neville, Fellaini or Rodwell) in the middle. Cahill wouldn't have quite as much license to get forward, but he might find that even more opportunities present themselves because we have two strikers occupying the opposition centre backs.

We should definitely be experimenting with it in home games.

I definitely think Saha is looking much fitter and sharper this season, but I think that we link up better with the Yak upfront. Yak for two vs. Sunderland!

Leeches making his knees 21 years old again seem to have lied to him. Half call ups to the France joke havn't helped. Fenerbache £8 million? Hmmmm, tough call....

He was very good when he came on, but it's a common theme with Saha, he usually comes back and puts in a decent performance from the bench. When he's in the team he just seems to get comfortable and his inconsistency is there for everyone to see. He's a very talented footballer, but the mentality doesn't seem to match his ability.
