Big fish in a small pond.

Outside that pond they struggle every spring when they swim with the sharks.

Good analogy, it’s how I see them.

I do see @MarcelsGoat’s perspective though. Big is the pulling power of the club in the current market - which is why 3 of the 4 champs league semi finalists aren’t above them.

But imo the wrong type of big name goes to PSG. The money motivated mercenary.

Indeed.

They can pay players an absolute fortune....but their careers will stagnate there.

If money is all that motivates you then PSG is the ideal place to be.

To be fair, this is why someone like Gana appeals to their management. He could be seen as a guy to help with the "substance" within the team. His character could be a lot of what they've been lacking.
