Who else is out there though with premier league experience who would come to Everton and improve us? I've only seen us linked with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling this summer.
Is the Newcastle defender we were linked with last summer available and any good?

Not "heard anything " as such.

A Chelsea lad said the other week that the rumour he had heard coming out was that Lampard and his coaching staff have been impressed with Zouma.

IMO I don't think Gibson is even close but I only form that opinion from pre-season.

Yes no nonsense indeed. Saying that ....Zouma did play out quite often but just when in doubt it goes in the stand. Rather that than watching him lose possession trying to dribble out/play out

He isn't but he knows Mina is the footballing equivalent of Mr Glass and Keane needs someone with pace beside him to cancel out the issues with his game. Great reader of a situation is Kurt.

FWIW I don't think he is going to come, at least not this window.

Even though he's not really featured during pre-season, I feel that the transfer ban will have an impact because they can't bring additions in if there's injuries etc.

Chelsea are rich enough to be able to pay his wages as a safety net, with any transfer coming in either January or next summer - the latter being more likely.

He may be displeased and want to have first team football to support his international opportunities, but the unique situation may mean they stick with him.

Any other summer and I would expect him to be here already, yet unfortunately circumstances out of our hands may mean that it's not the case.
