Rumour has it Moyseys going in for Santa Cruz on loan.
He is so, so [Poor language removed].
He had one good season, and the others have been embarrassing. As I've said before he -- as a STRIKER -- in 8 seasons with Bayern, and 4 in the premier league, has only topped 5 league goals in a season ONCE. That's shocking. He is shocking.
Sounds like Yakubu..
Please! I wanted us to sign him and benni mccarthy in 03 - I've been fans of theirs for a long time
In his PL career, in chronological order, the Yaks's scored 16, 13, 13, 12, 15, 4 (14 apps then injury) and 5(post-injury, only 21 apps). Before the injury, he was a top class prolific striker.
Even in jest, do not ever compare him to that waste of space Santa Cruz. The Yak is on a whole other level.
I was comparing his Everton career.. Scored 15 first season, 10 since.. On and off Injuries..
As you said about Cruz, he's had one good season, and as I said, Injury problems.
Cruz has been [Poor language removed] full stop though. Injuries have blighted and no doubt hampered him, true, but one good season does not a good player make. He is [Poor language removed]. He would have been less [Poor language removed] if he was injury free... but then he isn't. The Yak is injury free though -- and not prone -- he's just not rediscovered his form. And when it looked like he was close to doing so, he was dropped for that useless bag of [Poor language removed], Saha.
Mate, I agree with most of your post on Cruz.. Fact is though, Yakubu could carry the same tag you put on Saha.. I think the reason why he was dropped was due to his fitness. He's LAZY, gassed after 50 minutes.
Surely he should be match fit now? Form or not.
Completely disagree mate. He was great against Stoke, after putting in boss shifts in the games before, and his moment of genius is what got us 3 points. The next week, he was dropped, and Moyes has stuck with Saha since.
The Yak looks lazy because he doesn't run around like AJ, but the Yak will collect the ball and bring others into play. He's not the quickest or most mobile, but he's a team asset. On the other hand Saha is a goalscorer, as is Santa Cruz, and that's basically it. And when they're not doing that, they offer nothing. And neither of them are doing that, and the latter -- one season aside -- never really has.
