We are way past him now, some might say we have always, however, myself always liked him. But with his long list injury table outings it's long gone ever working out... Maybe a sweetener for Wilfred, will make it all a little sweeter!

Eto'o - one of the best players of his generation. FFS. Thinking cap on lad.

Thank you for acknowledging my post ruined yours lol

Eto was a flop at Everton mate, I’m not talking about what he did when he was at Barcelona as that doesn’t matter.

Actually don’t remember this whatsoever.

Defo was a thing, gonna have to dig out a link, could be tricky though was early days for the tinterweb, Clubcall and Ceefax era.

Edit:- just realised Daves done that thing where he takes the thread of topic being utterly wrong and then disappears.

Hopefully Newcastle stick in a bid for James, start a bidding war with Palace,.

Yobo being linked with Arsenal, that one escaped me I must admit.

This was in 2014 after he left us but the link was prob due to their earlier interest which it seems was pre Internet. I’m pretty sure at the time of the links Henry was quoted as saying he was his toughest opponent in the league.

Imagine a manager who had just got his team relegated thinking it'd be a good idea to bring half the relegated team's starting xi with him to his new club which had ambitions of qualifying for the Champions League.

Yeah. Remember it. Wanted him before Everton made his loan permanent and was linked constantly over the following seasons http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/e/everton/4873048.stm

Was only 3 players wasn’t it? Robles, Kone and McCarthy
