Looks like we might be working on Leao and Kean simultaneously although it's possible that one is a smokescreen for the other. Or maybe we are going to do a sensational double swoop. But probably not as that's 90m on the same position. I'd take either.

Would be great if we could sign both and somehow get Eddie Howe to take a fancy to DCL

He'd be a decent enough response to losing Gueye but I've got a feeling SoccerLink might not be well sourced.

I had a little look.

33k followers on twitter, decent digits, not amazing, the story is actually 2 days old, I cant imagine nobody else would have picked up on it by now.

TUCHEL WANTS IDRISSA GUEYE. EVERTON TRACK TOUSART

After the signing of Abdou Diallo, PSG is active to recruit Idrissa Gueye. Thomas Tuchel validated the track and traded with Senegalese midfielder.

PSG may have finally found his famous defensive midfielder for this summer. Evoked for months, the Parisian interest for Idrissa Gueye is confirmed more than ever. The player has already agreed in principle to join the club of the capital. In recent days, PSG has again told Everton his desire to recruit the player. Anyway, the track remains hot since Thomas Tuchel also validated the profile and already discussed with the Senegalese.
Zahavi mandated this winter by PSG
Last winter, the famous agent Pini Zahavi was mandated by PSG to complete the deal. The latter had even already proposed to the Toffees several profiles to replace Idrissa Gueye including a certain Lucas Tousart . The middle of the OL, as well as Abdoulaye Doucoure (Watford) are still in the sights of the Toffees this summer.
Even if the club of the capital has not yet formulated an official offer, internally PSG is confident about the finalization of the operation.

Which is basically this story from January, kinda.

France Football report that Senegalese international central midfielder Idrissa Gueye was closer to a January move to PSG than many might expect, but that the deal ultimately fell through when The Toffees’ replacement choice, Lyon’s Lucas Tousart, rejected them.

PSG did not want to pay the €40m demanded by Everton for ex-Lille and Aston Villa central midfielder Gueye, and EFC were only willing to negotiate if they were able to sign a replacement – they looked at Abdoulaye Doucouré (Watford), but he was quickly dismissed on the grounds that he was too expensive.

Lucas Tousart was the other option, but the ex-Valenciennes defensive midfielder rejected Marco Silva’s side and an additional proposal from Zenit St Petersburg in January in order to remain with Lyon in Ligue 1.

In short, TOSH.

The thing that stuck out in that Silva interview was that they decided in March to move for Delph, so it took almost 5 months to get the deal done, yes I realise the season took up some of that time.

But thats 5 months to sign a player his club wanted to sell and a player who seemed very willing to come.

Its 1 thing identifying the players, its a totally different thing getting the deals done.

Still a good few weeks yet, suspect we are going to be quite busy, probably busier with outs than ins, but as long as the ins are the right 1s it doesnt matter.

....it’s Thursday 18th July, which I think means the window closes 3 weeks today. Here’s this morning’s Toffee Transfer rumours;

- NSNO believe Everton striker, Cenk Tosun, could be on his way to Schalke and a bid is expected soon. The Bundesliga side has already taken Toffees defender Jonjoe Kenny on loan.

- According to Get Football News France, PSG are convinced they can agree a deal for Everton midfielder, Idrissa Gueye, after the African Cup of Nations Final. The article suggests the Senegal international is desperate to complete the move.

- Gazzetta Dello Sport say Juventus have put 19 year old striker, Moise Kean, up for sale with Everton and Borussia Dortmund mentioned as the most interested clubs.

- Marca report Barcelona are hungry to make a profit on Malcom and have put a €60m price tag on the forward. The Brazilian’s agent has confirmed to Catalonia Radio that the player wants to leave.

- L’Equippe link Everton with a move for Marseille attacker, Lucas Ocampos. The 25 year old Argentinian who is valued at €35m scored 4 goals and made 7 assists last season.

- According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton has been handed a boost in pursuit of full-back Santiago Arias because Kieran Trippier is on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid. Marcel Brands knows the 27 year old Colombian well from their time together at PSV. Marco Silva confirmed the Toffees want to sign a right-back: “We are really happy with Seamus, he finished last season on a very good level but, of course, we want to sign a right-back as well”.

- Henry Onyekuru’s agent, Guillaume Costet-Barmada is quoted by Russian outlet Sport24 as saying “we had a proposal from CSKA but the player decided to refuse the Moscow club”.

- RMC report Everton target, Adama Soumaoro’s move to Monaco has collapsed because of financial disagreement after Lille agreed a €13m deal for the 27 year old defender.

- The Mail and other outlets pick up on yesterday’s Everton link with Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic as well as suggesting Everton has submitted a bid for Lille’s Rafael Leao.

- The Echo reckon Ademola Lookman talks are ongoing with RB Leipzig, the Toffees are sticking to their £25m valuation. Lookman is in Switzerland with the squad but has not joined full training because of an ankle injury.

- Sky Sports report Hull City have agreed a season-long loan deal for Everton’s 20 year old winger, Josh Bowler.

- Corriere del Mezzogiorno suggest Napoli have bid €60m plus forward Adam Ounas for Everton linked Nicolas Pepe, but Lille are still considering the offer.

I Don’t think I’ve thanked you this far this offseason for concatenating the daily rumours into one message so that people can go off their rockers with joy or seriously contemplate why we all support the club we do and it’s abusive relationship they have with us all.

So thanks, @Eggs :D
