James Vaughan has returned to Everton following the completion of his loan spell at Crystal Palace.

The 22-year-old striker spent three months at Selhurst Park, appearing 14 times and scoring five goals.

That eventful period in the Championship included a first senior hat-trick and a red card.

Right now, I'd stick him in as his work in and around the box will let others in the team score.

I think him coming back is only a bonus now because frankly he's needed.

It's worth a try at the moment, he can hardly do any worse than our other strikers. His movement might well help get the rest of the team in gear, and he's stronger than Beckford so he should be able to hold the ball up a bit better on his own.

Its almost true to say Vaughan has more experience than Beckford at top level. This lid is the Prems youngest goalscorer...

Oh , an' those Boo-ing Victor ,...

THIS was what his procrastination was about ,... NOT £30K P/W .

His best mate possibly playing League 1 Footy 18 months after signing a Contract at Everton .

Thus , would he be better going to Stoke , Bham or some [Poor language removed] ,...( IF he ever stays fit , that is ,.. ) ..???

YOU CANNOT , however , blame the kid for questioning ,... Least , I CAN'T ,..
He never said a DEFINITIVE , NO . Just , I'll think about it ,..

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing , Booers , lids ,...

Think is though lad, Victors had multiple injuries too tho... so I know what you mean but he can't blame EFC for him not playing given the injuries he's had.

More signs of his immaturity.

PS. I never booed. I only ever boo refs or the opposition. Especially RS.

Oh and agree PRECISEMENT with your Vaughn points.

We need more effectiveness upfront that is for certain.

VAUGHN lad. Please seize your chance. Everton needs you.

Would love for him to get some games for us, but Moyes will stic with Saha. For some unknown reason - other than what he sees in training - he is unbelievably the only striker that Moyes believes in.

I don't think Moyes will even give Vaughan a sniff at first team football. It took Arteta being banned to get Rodwell playing (and in his best position).
He'll get loaned out again or sold. I think there may have been a bit of a falling out.
Everything will remain the same. Saha will play and we will look like we're playing with 10 men because of the useless lazy [Poor language removed].

My hope for a revival this season is wearing a bit thin now. And my hope for Moyes learning from consistent mistakes is wearing even thinner.

that what i have been thinking all through this thread

Huh. When did this happen? And, for that matter, since when is Victor best mates with Vaughan?

I'm fairly sure Vic and Vaughan came through the youth system together, they are the same age, so it's feasible that they would. I remember hearing that they are best mates before.
