Copa America, euro 21s, players on holidays all could be holding up deals.
No panic .

Just stating the what the manager told everyone on camera after the last game of the season - "Homework Done, Players identified"
At the end of the day, any repercussions due to late execution will impact the manager,s plans and performance targets.
As a Fan, I am not expecting anything other than 8-10th finish and a decent run in the cup anything on top of that would be a bonus. Not saying I am happy with that either not after seeing the club lift trophies back in the 80,s but that was a long time ago.

Fabian Delph I’m hearing
Low valuation. 3 years on the forum. Sporadic poster. I like the cut of sfa.ok's jib with what he says.

That's why I'm all in for Fabian Delph. Exactly the solid type of player for a team looking to get into the top 6.

Good morning my friends. Our Portuguese sex symbols send a hug to all the Evertonians.

I think that any "perceived" hold ups may be caused by simple logistical issues. An example may be players still being involved in South American competitions (as well as the normal horse trading with clubs and agents etc).
I am still sure that Marcel will deliver and the panicking , by some , is over nothing.

Horse trading?

I hope we sign Frankel De Ligt

....Friday has come around again, not much in the Toffee transfer rumours for the morning of 5th July;

- Tuttosport report Juventus are getting close to signing striker Mauro Icardi. The article says the transfer could push Everton target Moise Kean nearer the exit door.

- According to Marca, Real Betis are ready to meet the release clause of long-term Everton target, 26 year old Espanyol striker, Borja Iglesias.

- Various outlets confirm Phil Jagielka’s move to Sheffield United, whilst ‘Roker Report’ say Sunderland have signed 18 year old Everton Academy defender, Michael Collins, on a 1 year deal.

- Peter O’Rourke from Football Insider suggests Everton midfielder, Joe Williams, is edging towards exiting the Toffees in a deal in excess of £1m. The 22 year old is entering the final year of his contract, and is said to be a target for Championship teams, Bristol City, Birmingham City and Hull City as well unnamed Bundesliga clubs.

- Tuttosport report Torino are far from agreeing terms on a new contract for defender, Armando Izzo, amidst €25m interest from Arsenal and Everton. Tuttomercatoweb suggest Torino are keen to reject all bids for the 27 year old who joined them for €8m last year.
We really should be doing a lot better than £1m for Williams. I really hope we have severe sell on clauses and, in some cases, buy back deals with these young players. I get that we should be selling them when they get to a set age, but this group we have now are of very good stock. We've never had so many kids holding their own in the championship. Normally the odd decent youngster we used to have, Chris Long springs to mind, were usually playing in League 1/2 at the same age.

Getting permanent signings in by the end of the month and trying for loans up to deadline day seem like reasonable expectations for me.

It's becoming more difficult by the year to do business early. As a club trying to improve but with restrictions, we can only hope to be in a position to take advantage of opportunities as they arise, we can't dictate.

A player may join us as their less preferred option, or need time to be convinced, that's fine with me, but those deals happen after the wait and see period has elapsed, and that really is a few weeks away.

Your ears are dirty. You have to clean them. Delph will not be Everton player
I seen on sky bet the other day he was 1.6 to join us. But I’m with you I can’t see it, again he must be about 29 now? And probably still under contract.

I don’t think he’s a good player either.
