I was surprised we didn’t keep him, only 19 although behind Virginia. Presumably we must rate the young GKs behind Virginia.

Very true. Though I still remember the time about 3 years ago when we had that young Czech goalie, Stanek?, on the bench for a couple of games due to two injuries, nobody queried him or even noticed how close we were to potential disaster.

Very true. Though I still remember the time about 3 years ago when we had that young Czech goalie, Stanek?, on the bench for a couple of games due to two injuries, nobody queried him or even noticed how close we were to potential disaster.

Also remember Iain Turner?, he was third keeper ended up playing when Nigel Martyn and Richard Wright we’re injured, got sent of on his debut,
Can’t remember who came on for him? We signed Westervelt to play the week after as emergency cover.

I love the bit where he says during training some of the players were giving him dodgy passes at awkward heights and then said they told him they do it to all newcomers.

Bet Niasse was just standing there thinking "no that's how I've always passed the ball"
