As @GrandOldTeam stated earlier today, if you have a concern about a member, please use the report function - that’s what it’s there for.

In-thread kopite accusations help nobody, and just because someone has a different opinion, doesn’t mean they’re a red.

I agree with all that; nevertheless, perhaps the sizeable increase in overt, anti-Everton sentiment on here as of late (take that as you will) isn't helping either.

Far too many threads appear to be intentionally drawn away from their original purpose because of questionable comments and/or actions, which isn't enjoyable.

Some people enjoy the chase and the eventual meltdowns while other Evertonians appear unable to keep their emotions in check. Either way, it's getting worse.

To be fair @Groucho i reported someone for being a kopite and had no response. The poster then continued to passively aggressively post for months before finally getting banned.

The safari hunt and people making their heads fall off is the only thing that makes the mask slip, otherwise they will just continue to "subtlety" post anti-Everton stuff without any retaliation or reaction.

Plus people love the hunt. The eventual meltdowns are one of the best things on here, check the amount of reaction and likes they get, it's the most popular bloodsport on GOT.

Nobody wants to see innocent Blues libelled at kopites. Who was the guy who used to forensically hunt them down, @Efcjake maybe? Now that guy was class.

We can’t just ban people on the basis that they make a couple of questionable posts. This is exactly why the report function is the best thing to use.

We do act upon them, sometimes it’s not as cut and dried as you may think, hence why it can take time.

With the best will in the world though, sometimes the best hunters aren't necessarily the moderators.

Look how Valtan or whatever his name was (how soon i forget, damn you beer) was found out because they were disturbingly a fan of GI Joe.

I appreciate it's not how @GrandOldTeam and the mod team wants things to run and that's fair enough. But the safari hunters still hold a special place in my heart.

One of the reasons is that a lot of the time, the accusations are false.

If we banned everyone who was accused of being a red, we’d be banning more blues than reds.

I've discovered the best course of action is to simply ignore someone if you think that they're a red on a wind-up...

I believe that it was @catcherintherye who pointed out that they exhibit traits akin to narcissistic personality disorder, and if you accept that premise, then the motives behind their behavior becomes more obvious:

I can absolutely assure you in most cases, it isn’t. There’s a hell of a lot of posters on here who express unpopular and negative opinions that don’t get labelled kopites.

You can smell them an absolute mile off.
