Bilyaletdinov needs a run in the team

I still think he deserves a longer chance, however if Moyes dosent which seems to be the case then lets move him on and find someone else who can do a job. We spent a huge amount for us on him and he has never had an extended run, so lets bite the bullit and get rid. No point in playing him as a sub every game, not for what we paid for him.

I assume you mean Moyes, not Billy?

I just don't want him to end up like Babel, with all of the confidence and skill shot right out of him by sitting on the bench week in week out.

It's not like Billy is coming out and stating his discomfort and throwing his toys out of the pram at any given moment, the lad clearly enjoys being here, whether Moyes plays him is up to him or not, but the unwarranted criticism you see on here isn't really on I don't think.

If Billy was in the positions we've seen Arteta and Pienaar drift into, he wouldn't be cruyff-turning himself into next week and then passing it to Heitinga, he'd be having a go and we would probably be in a better table position 'cause of it.

Moyes has said he's no chance of playing centre midfield

Moyes has said he's no chance of playing centre midfield

As in, deep lying Osman/Arteta/Fellaini/Rodwell style centre mid.

He at least acknowledged that he knows he plays more like Cahill for the national squad.

I wasn't implying that Billy should be a central player, I was just stating that out of the 25/30 times certain midfielders have been in scoring positions before stupidly passing it, Billy would be favourite to have a crack, and a good one at that.

He WILL play in the Timmy role - UNLESS Eufa allow us , just us , to change the rules ,...

I cant find the quote but I think he meant either as centre midfield or just off the striker...and Im edging towards talking about the Cahill role he said he's got no chance of playing in...

EDIT -

“There’s no place for him in a central position given the quality of players we have in there at the moment.

“Not with Jack Rodwell to come into the team, Marouane Fellaini, Johnny Heitinga, and we’ve still got Leon Osman to come back.

“There could be a possibility behind the striker. A couple of people have mentioned that to me but it’s something I’ve not really considered that much because I already have a lot of people who can do that.

“I could have two players up front or I could play Steven Pienaar in there as well so there’s quite a lot of competition for those sort of roles.”

In other words...He''d either play 2 strikers up top or Pienaar behind a lone striker before Bilya would even think about going there.

Hes not gonna play anywhere else but left or right midfield...and he's the least likely in the pecking order

That is why this man is my Avatar, that is why I know what a player he is. I read someone saying that he was a nickname to Van der Meyde here and it makes me sick! Van could hardly get a touch of the ball..FFS. Billy is sitting on the bench not making fuss at all...although he knows how good a player he is to not get time on the pitch.

Give him 5 games run and see for yourself what a player he is and then make the accusations.

" ... FUK OFF , BILY , YOU'RE SHIIII,.....YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS !!!

DOH !!!

Anyone else find it fitting that on the last kick of the 09/10 season, all 3 of our major signings teamed together to score.

Distin to Heit, Heit to Billy..."you wanna get the train n...FCKING GET IN BILLY!!"

another interesting thing about those 2 bilyaletdinov goals is that both times he was coming from the right wing.

would any of you really pick coleman osman or anichebe to play rm over a player who can score goals like that ?
the lack of bily this seaon = the thing thats puzzles me the most about this season.

I'd love nothing more than to see Bily, playing week in, week out, and thriving in this league.

I can't see it though. As those vids show, the man's got an unbelievable left peg, and the best strike I might have seen in the royal blue. But it means little, if he loses the ball all the time. If he's always the weak link in the passing manoeuvres. If he gets shoved off the ball like a pre-pubescent Asian gymnast.

I want to love Bily, I really do, but he makes it difficult :dodgy:

It was a joke, and seeing as he's behind about four or five players and Moyes doesn't fancy him at all, there are similarities with Van der Meyde, who was also a talented footballer.

The problem with Bilyaletdinov is every performance he has is littered by mistakes and lapses in concentration. He doesn't ever seem to be ready or with the pace of the game. You stick him on the left and he suffers from all the problems Osman has on the right, stick him on the right, and quite frankly, he doesn't seem to know what he's supposed to do. That's why I think Moyes doesn't give him a run of games, that, and the lack of pace we have when a Coleman/Anichebe/Donovan style player isn't in the side.

He has the ability to get you a goal, there's no denying that, but he isn't playing upfront, he's a midfielder, a wide player, and we need far more complete performances than he's showing. He shown very little as a creative force, and I don't mean getting assists for his early set pieces, I'm talking about creativity from open play.

His MAIN ASSET btw , is his ability to find himself in goalscoring positions . Last year , he scored 8 and MISSED JUST AS
MANY !!!

FACT , incidentally . Well , yous give me ANY of our midfielders , Timmy aside , who can do THAT an' I'll even consider shutting the fuk up , me , like .

Yes,he has a few shortcomings..but isn't that Moyes' job to fix it? Isn't he supposed to bring the best out of his players like he has with everyone he signs.

Does Cahill have no shortcomings? He can't pass, or shoot from outside the box but still he HAS to be in the team because he can head it home.

Billy can strike it like neither Osman/Anichebe/Coleman/Pienaar can do....but to accept that he's better off at the bench is no excuse for me and who knows he would have scored had he been given the confidence like Osman,Hibbert and recently Saha has been getting.

Yakubu was/is lazy at times but it's his goals that matter most. We at everton have made it must for wingers to track back for full backs and that defensive mind set is why we see no striker at the half way line when we defend a corner.

If billy can't track back or he's not good at it then why force him to be out until he learns to..why not give him a free role to cross the ball(which I've seen him boss),shoot from distance an find a killer pass which he can do for sure. Does Van der Vaart track back, does Walcott, Ronaldo. If a winger tracks back then great...it looks good once in a while when he helps out his full back but then he has to make sure that his attacking game isn't affected and if that's the case with Billy then I'd tell him to play your natural game..no hard n fast rules..take the ball, do the best with it and if you feel like shooting, then shoot the damn ball so hard that the keeper flies in the back of the net!
