He’s improved his overall game massively, no doubt... his finishing is still poor though and until that improves you will always have people who will consider him a weak point, it’s not going to be easy getting rid of the mindset that a good striker needs be good at finishing.
His replacement will need to match his enthusiasm, hold up play and work rate. Plus be better in other areas. To trade his qualities in for someone not as impressive in these areas just for a boss slotter could seriously back fire. Itll be interesting to see how that one pans out...........
It's a mindset that we really shouldn't be getting rid of, however the point is that Dom brings so many other aspects to our game that we simply shouldn't ignore.
Ultimately, he will always be judged on the number of goals he scored (that's part and parcel of a striker's role) but we should also appreciate his other talents.
My point being that there'll be those who will single out his finishing while ignoring everything else, whereas really there is a lot more to him and what he offers.
If he can improve his finishing like other parts of his game, then we will have a great option; if the improvement is only marginal, then he's still a good option.

He’s still learning the game ! I think at the moment his mind set is to Harry defenders ! run the channels ! and lay the ball off ! Because that’s what he’s been getting told to do ! And he’s great at it ! Maybe next season he’ll be a bit more rounded ! His improvements have been massive ! Seems like a clever lad ! More coaching and the other bits will come !
Didn’t get a single chance to show whether his finishing is naff or not. Everyone else got plenty though thanks to him.

Yeah we know that. He's said as much. Luckily he's young enough to learn and adapt. I'm a big fan. Have been for a while ( not at RWB though). He always puts a shift in and brings others into the game. For a 22 year old his intelligence and understanding of game is impressive. Add goals and we've got a diamond.
