Oh God...he is 15 SECONDS off ?? I drive around at 50-60 mph and end the stage knackered....perhaps it's best to just play then...coz that's frankly depressing

It was around that, could be more now given the world records probably changed from when I first watched that video a few years back...

I wouldn't worry too much about being miles off world record pace, you need to realise that the people at the top end of sim racing are absolute animals who dedicate all their spare time to becoming the best. People will literally sit and session a course like this for days on end, resetting every time the most minor of mistakes is made... all in search for that ultimate error free run. Thats part of my problem with rally games, the crack factor of wanting that perfect run is so strong you end up resetting all the time and you kind of lose any natural flow that the game has and it can become a bit of a slog.

Rally games are definitely more enjoyable with a more casual approach to them imo, they can drive you insane otherwise.

I guess that could be said for nearly every type of speed runner / perfect lap type game, They ruined Resi 2 remake for me, Skyrim, Fallout 4, FFVII.Forza Horizon 3..I think I should just concentrate on playing rather than looking for tips...Dunno about you lads though, I find games are becoming harder to beat these days, Even though every youtube channel is stating games are too easy. I can only presume the 90's rave scene, Pretty colours and recreational brain numbing has deadened the nerves endings needed for twitch instinct gaming.

I dunno. I play a lot of retro stuff and some old games I used to be decent at are now nigh on impossible.

What i do find in modern games is that there’s arguably too much to do. Like I’m playing Red Dead 2 and get so distracted with the side missions and chasing mystical beasts and stuff that it takes me 17 years to finish the story. And I find that in nearly every new game I play these days.

Exactly, what happened to go here, do that ?? I'm like you really, I tend to go for emulation or older consoles...best buy this year was the snes mini...awesome !! Games where you know exactly what you have to do, shoot that, go there...simple

I agree - while I do enjoy my games, in all honesty I'm fairly terrible at them. Back in the day I thought I was OK on the original PS and so on, but nowadays I guess it's a young man's game :p

And I too do notice all the people who say things like "I played this while standing on my head on infamous/permadeath/veteran/hardcore/whatever, and it was still too easy". I tend to steer clear of harder settings and often find it fairly taxing.

Despite all this (and any logic), I did pick up Sekiro this morning, because I think it does look superb. But I fully expect to limp my way barely to the end of the tutorial...

Recently I played the first Far Cry - having completed all of the others except Primal, I thought I should give it a go. It's insanely difficult, to the point of it being sadistic (plus the auto-save/checkpoint system is terrible). Luckily there is some, er, help available to get past the trickiest parts. I thought this game from 2004 would be fairly straightforward, but it really does appear to be one for hardcore gamers. You can see how the series grew from it, but perhaps its difficulty is why it now seems to have the lowest profile of all the games in the series (although being the only one not available on this generation of consoles can't have helped).

If you ever see primal on offer,get it mate.i am also a far cry fan and really enjoyed it.the controls are the same but it has a few unique features.

Lemmi know how your getting on with it..Seikiro looks terrific but I just know the bosses will make me break household items.
