If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

Bombs away.

Mourinho, because the sense of relief after his toxic, self-pitying and inevitable failure will be so overwhelming that even appointing the tea lady as his successor will dramatically boost our form

I'd keep Silva (and have always said that)

I'd keep him too, another dismissal and that will be five managers in two seasons if we appointed another.

We would have the well deserved reputation of an underperforming midtable club who always sack their manager if things don't go to plan, no second chances.

Let's face it, who on earth would want to come to such a club, we've already got a 'sacking club' vibe hanging over us even without a further change.

Since May 2016

Martinez, Unsworth (caretaker), Koeman, Unsworth, Allardyce, Silva...so... Caretaker.... Another?

So in less than three years we could have possibly 8 changes in manager and five if you exclude caretaker bosses, although Unsworth had a long stint last time.

Four Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Silva is probably already too many in two and a half years

How about a British manager, and we sign a team made up of predominantly British players with a few talented overseas players to add extra quality?
