Computer games.

Fallout 4, Alien: Isolation, Just Cause 4, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, both remastered Batman Arkham games, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Crackdown 3 all added to Xbox Games Pass in the past week or so.
Alien isolation is a deffo play...not for the grinding or anything other than to just beat it. Many have said it cheats ??? Its a [Poor language removed] xenomorpth....it doesnt actually exist...so who's to know, just enjoy it for the pure fun of playing a game in the first films setting accurately.....for fans of the first film only need apply....the rest of the rest expect cod mechanics... more loot..or more action.....less cheating ?? [Poor language removed] em and enjoy the most engaging movie tie in to this universe were ever likely to get... without a loot box in sight.
Xx

People say gaming is crashing again with the likes of Fallout 76, Division, Anthem, Cod ...blah...whatever...
But for everyone of them, you have a Cities Skyline, Kerbal, Rim World, Outlast , Terraria, Kingdom come, Cuphead, Bioshock, Halflife, Mafia II, Metro, Soma, Fez, Oxenfree.....it goes on...
There are literally hundreds of smaller indy dev teams willing to take risks and create something worth playing, rather than the garbage grabbing 1-10 hours of larger devs over produced market driven drivel..... that again !!! costs more to actually finish the thing...or for multiplayer gaming advantages. Want a warning ?? Just check out the movie or music industry's pop pap to see the pattern for what's to come to this particular area of the gaming equivalent....

Thank God for indy gamers still making games, Give it to the corporations....
REAP !!! REEEEEEAAAAP !!!

Dirt Rally 2.0 is bloody ace mind....as is Ace combat 7, Hitman 2, Resident evil 2, Tekken 7 , DOOM........
So give your money to everyone other than Ubisoft or EA then....

Another free game from Humble Bundle, never heard of this one so dunno if its any good but free is free

Mate at work absolutely loves it. I always see him playing it online.

Not my cup of tea at all.
Not interested in the raiding or anything like that. Just to shoot stuff and find guns.

Not bad, however if I boost my character to 30 with the dlc then it will lock me out of the older dlc FFS

Got a couple of hours of Sekiro in before needing to call it a night.

This guy is one of the first Elite enemies you come across (not even a proper boss) and I died so many times here

Definitely a steep learning curve here, but the combat feels much more tactical and higher intensity than their previous titles.

It does look like I’m spamming the attack button here (OK, I was a bit) but managed to get a few perfect blocks in there as well.

Looks like the combat really opens up once you begin to upgrade your skill tree as well.

Think I may enjoy this :D

So tempted for this.

Even though it has all the hallmarks of me quite liking it, finding it too hard and trading in next month for Days Gone. (Which looks like it might be my favourite ever game already).

It depends what put you off the previous games.
The story is less ambiguous and the RPG elements are more streamlined (skill tree instead of stat points)

But as a result, you can’t just farm souls/weapon upgrades to brute force your way through tough encounters, you actually have to learn what tactics to use for each enemy.

I understand why that “just one more try” approach doesn’t appeal to every one though.

Hmmm... I've been looking at this on Steam, where for £62 you can get it bundled with one of their controllers (which I've wanted to try for a good while). The games backlog I have is truly absurd, though (which probably means I'll end up buying it).

Bought a bloody PS4 whilst I was drunk last weekend, I'm not a patient man, with the attention span of a leaf.

Are there any recommendations for any games that are quite easy to get into?

Not really bothered about genre, just something easy and accessible....but good.

Steam controller only actually matters if your like me, a couch playing PC guy. For that...and that purpose alone, it has opened up so many games in the simulation genre that otherwise I would have had to have a huge tray on me lap to manage a mouse n Keyboard on it.
Give it a go for everything except Fps and you will be impressed.

Try something like Trials Rising. Dirt bikes on mad courses. Not too taxing and dead good to just pick up and have a go.

Red Dead 2 is the obvious shout. Yeah there’s a massive story but sometimes I just load it up to be a cowboy for a bit. And do cowboy things.
