I wonder if we would be better off not taking loans? At best you get a short term boost, while another team’s player becomes more valuable.

Loan players lack commitment in my opinion, and if we buy our own players then we make all the profit when we sell them.

Depends really as we need 5 or 6 more players this summer and it makes more sense to use our money on the best we can get whilst using the loans as cheap short term deals.

Im happy with the Digne, Mina, Richarlison and Bernard signings and wonder if we hadnt landed Gomes and Zouma on loan could we have afforded them all.

I actually think that bloke is Marco himself. The way he literally gives zero criticism to him is astounding considering how poor we have been this season.

And that avatar jeez if forums were around in the 90's it would be akin to having Walker as your picture.

Let be honest, theres no way you were around under Mike Walker. Your posts would be very different if you were.

I also think tomorrow will be make or break for Silva. A defeat and fans will be raging never mind falling into potentially 11th again in the table.

A tricky away game followed by Newcastle in which defeat there would make things very messy for Marco.

Its basically in his hands now win tomorrow and against the Geordies and we have a good shot at 7th and going on a good run - lose / draw both and we are around 11th/12th in the table cut adrift from the top 7/8 and he would struggle to achieve much else with Utd, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea all still to come with heads both in the stands and in the dressing room down.

So a game against the title favourites is 'make or break'.

Some of your posts...most of them in fact have absolutely no shame and you simply have no idea about the reality the club is currently in.

Do you even understand the rules?

I detect a bit of fire in Silva’s belly.

I hope it goes well for him tomorrow. It could be a turning point if we win. I know I’ll forgive him for the last few months of utter tripe if we win.

This is the second time I’ve read such an accolade by a former Hull player. The first, immediately following his appointment, had me raising my hopes after his previous incumbents.

I was convinced he could get a tune out of this old banjo, and true to form, he did; initially. And this is what irks: despite the protests about a dearth of quality strikers, midfielders, running-quarter wing backs - or whatever the latest de-rigour title is for a right-back - he was praised for making do with what he’d got. And this is what grates with me.

Frankly, if he did face the sack, I’d remain indifferent. Sorry.

That said, Good luck today, Marco.

Mate stick to tugging off over 18 year old Bosnian wonderkids who'll never make it.

Silva spent £86 million in the summer yet is doing worse with players like Digne, Gomes and Mina than Alladyce did with Williams, Martina and Klaassan.

You obviously rate him and fair enough however he's completely underperformed this season and I have the balls to say it rather than try jazz it up like its some carefully planned transition.

Sadly I was around under Walker however I was also around in the 80's and saw what this club is meant to be and thats not sat happy with mediocrity and in 10/11th 7 or so points behind juggernauts of the game such as Watford and Wolves.

Today is make or break in the sense that it'll prove if Cardiff was possibly a turning point or simply another Burnley/Huddersfield 1 win in isolation out of every 8 against a bottom 4 side.

If you dont think fans will be fuming if we put in a limp performance of today of all games you're the one who obviously doesnt know Everton...

I see, so you just dont understand the rules and dont watch the games...cool.

Haha what you talking about fella? Dont watch the games? You mean the ones we lose week in week out? The ones we concede from set pieces week in week out? The ones were we cant pass a ball or have zero attacking fluidity?

Yeah I've watched one too many of those sadly this season mate.

You happy being sat in 10th/11th?

You think the same issues wont be repeated next season considering they were at both Hull and Watford?

If you happened to watch any of the hull or Watford games then im not sure how you are comparing with the current setup of the team or the style of play?

Clearly you dont understand the rules as you wouldnt be bleating about players when the wage bill is maxed out.

Thirdly youre comparing the league position of 8th under allardyce but mustnt have watched the games as that was far worse than anything for many many years.

Fourthly and statistically the only area were weak in compared to last season is on set pieces...not set pieces in fact but 2nd balls from set pieces which is down to the players who no one wants

Fifth EVERY SINGLE POST FROM YOU IS THE SAME

He got relegated with Hull

He got sacked by Watford half way through a season

We were abysmal last season yet still finished 8th in which at present we'll be lucky to finish 10th/11th with better players than what we had last season.

You can throw any stat at me mate and I'll just give you the facts.

Some fans believe in fairytales and think next season we'll be blowing teams away and defending like lions under the current fella.

I hope he wins today and its the start of a good end to the season, lets wait and see.
