Haven't been on here in a while.

Derby weekend coming up and I can't bloody wait!!

So can anyone tell me what Knowsley is like to get to after the match? Is it a safe area? Looks like a good hike, but would I pick up a taxi easy enough to head out that way after? Looks like a good option for me to hit the road to scotland afterwards

There is a hotel there called the suites, looks ok and has a pool to chill out in. Anyone any info on it? Thanks guys

The suites is a sound enough hotel, nice rooms and I imagine secure parking. But there is not much around there - in fact nothing at all really. About £20 in a cab from town.
Problem is if you want to leave your car there and get back after the game, youll be stuck in the traffic on the east lancs all the way back. You might as well drive, park by the cemetery entrance on cherry lane and walk through, then get straight off to Scotland afterwards.
If we win however Jib Scotland right off. It’ll still be there next year.
stay out after the game and enjoy the atmosphere. Watch kopites fume and get aggressive with everyone that talks about football while every blue laughs in their face. It’s been a while, but those moments are some my favourites whilst spending 40 years on this planet. Well worth not bothering with Scotland.

If we’re getting beat however leave with 10 minutes early and find the quietest corner of Scotland you can, as fast as you can.

You can park on the streets just off Rice Lane. They say permit users only but no-one ever comes around and checks.

You should be able to use street parking near Kirkdale train station

There's a section of road near the station where you can't park, but once you're past that there's plenty of side streets

It's free and about a 15-20 minute walk to the ground. Very reasonable

Probably about £15 - £20 taxi ,book Delta for about 30 mins after the match. I know the hotel its fine ,but on a busy crossroads.
ah here, 30 mins after the match.... sure i'll be more than half way back to me car at that stage if I walk. :)
