BFS got a worse team and got 8th. 7th if we count that from 30 November till May. It doesn’t mean I like him. Just to point out he would have done a better job with the current squad.

Its weird. Id think McCarthy would do well(as well as anyone, i guess) in our current system. Id like us to try a midfield 3, with Gana, Gomes and McCarthy.

Just look at the points we dropped against dross teams at home. This is the manager’s fault who I believe should not be appointed in the first place. Or else we would be have been sitting comfortably at 7th.

Maybe I use the wrong word. You see English isn’t my first language. If you don’t want to use the word prestige then maybe use the word reputation instead. What I was trying to say is these players you are using for examples have proven they are far better than the players as they are in the past and should be preforming at a level that leading this team sitting comfortably at 7th. Coleman was ace in the past not now I agreed. Zouma come on he was at Chelsea and won titles. Pickford was outstanding at Sunderland that’s why we bought him and he becomes England no.1 since then. These players should have got us 7th. That’s my point.

This team quite comfortably should hit 7/8th each season minimum, We have a much superior side to Wolves imo but they actually care and their heads don't drop unlike ours which is why they're doing so good.

Exactly. We move the like in Martina and Williams on and replaced them with Digne and Zouma etc and yet we get worse...BFS got 8th with those players.

Jonny isn't as good as Digne but is actually a RB playing LB - so they have two better RBs!

Neves and Moutinho would walk into our midfield

They have a better striker

We'd get 4-5 players in their team. They'd get 6 in ours, at least.

That makes me very sad

Lost to West Ham, Arsenal, Man Ure and them lot.

Even after the derby we drew with Newscatle and Watford before being beat by City and Spurs before beating Burnley and losing to Brighton. It has continued pretty much as before! Pretty much the same consistency as before! I think some on here are starting to believe the rubbish the club want us to believe......

silva is only just capable of beating the worst teams.

he will get us know where bar a relegation when these lesser teams start nailing us from set plays too

Coleman is terrible nowadays and wouldn’t get in many other teams in the league on current form.

Zouma won the title in his first season at Chelsea when he made about 8 sub appearances. The next season he started most games and they finished 10th. He’s now in his 5th season at Chelsea and is stinking the gaff out Everton on loan.

We do not have any right to think we should be sitting comfortably 7th with these players, they are awful. What we should be saying is, we should be comfortably at least 7th having spent our money on better football players and with a better squad than we have now.

I don’t agree. BFS took over on 30 Nov and managed to get 8th with a worse squad. We replaced the like in Williams, Martina, Rooney, Funes Mori and Robles etc with Gomes, Digne, Zouma, Mina, Bernard and Richarlison. If we do our job at home against the dross we would have sitting comfortably at 7th. This will never turn out good if we lose to West Ham, Leicester and Wolves at Goodison. Oh and if we can actually defend properly and have a manager can make the squad to do so.
